Have you checked with other insurers to see what they offer?
Agreed. as it was a flight open to the public and with a qualified pilot (I hope) I didn't even check.
How small does an aeroplane need to be to be excluded from general insurance?? Papillon ones are about 20 seats.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Does anyone know what's going on with the Virgin flights MAN -LAS?
I got an email from Delta reminding me to check in for their code share flight on 30 Mar, and when I logged in there was a schedule change to the return journey on 22 May. Virgin Atlantic site is offering a flight via London on the date we leave, not the direct flight we booked.
If I look a week earlier, there is a direct flight to MAN, but Delta doesn't appear to allow date changes. Does anyone know how I stand on this?
I'd be happy to go home a week early, but there is no way I will suffer the cross London journey and delayed/cancelled flights again. I'm still having nightmares about our trip home on Dec 12/13. That was a complete nightmare.
Any advice or comments welcome. TIA0 -
there is no direct MAN-LAS Virgin flight for the Winter Season0

Yes I know that. This is for flights in May. We fly out 30 Mar and were supposed to return 22 May but now we only have the choice of one or two stop flights on the return leg.0

Pebblesmax,we too have booked Virgin direct from Manchester to LV,we go in August.I have just checked our booking and it asked wether our booking said Delta or VA,fortunately it did say VA,so our itinerary still is a direct flight. We were unaware there was any difference. We also had a terrible flight experience in November with BA,so this time I was only prepared to go direct without all the stress and worry about connections and delays.0

Just booked our flights for October - going out via Chicago for a family visit and back from Vegas, will sort out the internal flight later...we had planned to go PE both ways...but the UC upgrade on the return leg for £363 each caught our eye (well over £1k on the outbound leg to Chicago) and while it's not remotely moneysaving we couldn't help but book UC for the return leg...it seemed relatively inexpensive compared to what UC upgrades normally seem to be...so...quite excited...and yes, I will likely sleep through most of it but still.
wait, I figured out a MSE justification of sorts...we booked October flights now because of the 10% bonus quidco...if it weren't for that and the sale we wouldn't have booked now so would have paid more later...so really, we're saving by booking now so that goes some way to justify the upgrade.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

My last trip in November I bought a Macbook Air, external drive and magic mouse in Frys. I did my usual visit to have a look at all the boys toys and checked the prices againt the Apple store in Regent street. Worked out £320 cheaper which was a result, probably the easiest sale the saleslady made that day!
I had thought about it for a while and was pushed over the edge having been a Windows person forever. My PC at work was not only switched to Win8 but also put on the cloud, the issues have been rolling along since the middle of September and are still not reolved yet.
Only took a little getting used to the Mac but I must say I'm a happy bunny or should it be elf at this time of the year? Setting it up from the box was a piece of cake, It asked me if I wanted to sync my Ipads, Ipods and TV, I clicked yes and job done. It even synced my Galaxy 4 without hassle, which my work PC had to have a tech in to do?
The IT types don't seem to like Apple as it is user friendly they sound like Sheldon from BBT!
All I really need is work to swap my phone for an Iphone and I'll be Appled out!!!0
