We usually book direct while we are there. That way you can see what you're getting regarding views etc. We usually try to pay with our TR points if we have enough, or get credit for the cash value of the tickets if we don't.0

on the show theme, has anyone seen Michael Jackson: One at Mandalay Bay?
any recommendations for good seats?0 -
anyone been to the Aria or Vdara cant decide between the two. looking to book for september
Stayed at Aria in October and will be staying at Vdara in May 2014 so checked it out. Aria is livelier (obviously Vdara wil be quieter having no casino), seems easier to get to strip from Aria, I can't say anthing negative about Aria at all, would most definitely stay there again0 -

i think you'd be delighted with either... and they're both yards from each other (directly opposite each other on a sort of roundabout!)
you might get more room for your money with Vdara, as it's an all-suite hotel. It's smaller, has no casino, no smoking... so more of a boutique feel (if that's possible in Vegas!). It has a Starbucks in it, a small market place for food/snacks and a bar which serves some food. the pool (there's only one) is smallish, but relevant to the occupation of the hotel.
Aria has more 'stuff' going on - buffet, theatre (Zarkana show), casino, more people, more places to eat/drink, etc. but as I say, from the front door of the Vdara to the casino floor is about a 60 second walk.
Vdara is connected to the Bellagio by a walkway, both Vdara and Aria are very close to the Cosmo.
Location-wise it doesn't really matter which one you stay in... I'd just go by what 'feel' you want from the property and which one offers you a good deal0 -
I have just worked out something on Social Rewards. If there is something new to share in each casino. A little star shows up on the tab. I discovered I had some You Tube videos to share and as soon as I did that the little star vanished.
Also, I was going to report back on the MyVegas rooms I used in November. I booked two nights at Monte Carlo using MyVegas and then paid for a third night. It meant I had three different reservation numbers. So when I checked in they blocked a room for me for three days but I had to go down to reception every day after 11am to get my card keyed again. I was only charged resort fee on the night I had paid for. Which I wasn't expecting because it tells you all over MyVegas you will be charged a resort fee. So that was a nice surprise. I really like Monte Carlo (never stayed there before). However the no wifi in the rooms seems a bit old fashioned particularly for a mid range hotel like that.0 -

Social rewards - noticed the 'stars' a few days ago. It's helpful now that there would be so may tabs to look at otherwise. I still had a good browse though, didn't really trust it.
When I went on last week I discovered a load of new videos to watch as well, got a load of points last week, and they were ones that didn't require the use of 'shares' so I did well on it last week. I joined late September or early October, and have racked up about 6000 points already ($60). I've transferred 4000 points already, need to make sure i have 1000 to transfer late March, this will be the trigger for my points lasting until our trip in September.Hubby has done the same, slightly less points as I keep having to remind him to go on there. He also didn't want to do the facebook shares at first, but discovered you can limit who can view your post, we just restrict ours to only viewable by each other.
