Thanks for the info on Laughlin. We have been before, but never stayed over or got on a boat. We drove down via Boulder City (which I like for a wander, it's so old fashioned compared to Vegas). It was a cloudy day in a September and weirdly cool weather when we left Vegas about 8 or 9am. We got to Laughlin and it was comfortable, but the sun came out and it became rather unbearable.

We would like to see London Bridge, and I had forgotten we saw boat trips. Would save us from driving down there (unless we feel we need to be in the air-conditioned car!!). I had also forgotten there were water taxis, we just walked along the 'riverwalk' last time. I remember Harrah's being so far over, and I'm not sure if I'd rather be in the middle like at Golden Nugget or Aquarius.

    Is Bullhead worth a visit?

Bullhead is not really worth a visit other than the laundry and gas station/ car wash. you can pretty much see all it has to offer from a high floor in the hotel overlooking the river. We ate in a couple of places there just for a change.

My mate said I should post a photo I have of an ambidextrous car? I think he meant amphibious that I snapped passing on a river taxi, or the float plane taxiing up to the casino jetty but I've never worked out how to post pics?

As you will know I only got back from Vegas a fortnight ago and was about to book NYC for May.

Vegas has creeped back on to the radar and I am currently pricing up another trip! Oops!

I've had a couple of emails - one from TR for example but the rates didn't look that great.

you now get a page that says online booking not available and gives a number to call reservations - kind of defeats the object of 'Cyber Monday'

The Factory outlet shop in Laughlin seemed very run down when I called in in Oct a lot of the foodcourt has closed even McDs has left.
The new walk way which goes over a footbridge to the north is very nice for an afternoon walk and must have cost the town a lot of money to build.

Cosmo cyber Monday offer is pretty pants. Rates not much better than normal and require full pre-payment with no cancellation.
