  • Well its 2 weeks today until I go to Vegas for Round 2 this year.

I'm not sure how many of you will enjoy my trip report as this time it purely involves partying 24/7 as this is the 3rd party trip we would have done with the lads.

But I will compile something should somebody decide they want a view on the clubs and some of the faster food joints haha!

Plenty of fast food in Vegas so not sure what you mean.

I couldn't find the iOS myVEGAS app. Just as well as it keeps your LPs but you lose your level standing and any chip balance. No thanks.

there's a food court in Bally's but its downstairs so if you don't know it's there or have reason to go down there then it's not surprising you missed it...but there are several options between Planet Hollywood (Earl of Sandwich in PH) and MGM...and there are food courts in many casino properties, some have well known names (known worldwide, I mean), some have more American brands I guess you might not have recognized the signs = fast food.

Just going to try to do a little trip report- still not recovered but will my best!
We flew up with AA to Chicago which was ok, had 2 seats together on our own but no seat back entertainment, fortunately had movies loaded onto my ipad.I always find american flight crew older, and defo more surly than ours, this trip no different, our flight attendant had to be 50+ and really couldnt be bothered and tended to tut alot!!It actually felt quite cold when we arrived but luckily the weather really picked up and ended up being really nice all week.
got a strip view room at TI,great view.I really like this hotel as its not very big, great location, and has a nice vibe!
Did lots of shopping, twice at the outlet mall, second time I went got loads of Ralph Lauren kids jumpers 40% off the outlet price, only paid $26 for each.
Bought loads at Fashion Show Mall, mainly Xmas pressies for my boys and family. Also did the huge shop at Walmart twice, once for the medicines, and once for th choccy/ candy!!
This was my most successful trip in terms of gambling, simply because of Willie Wonka.I actually won every day at least $150 but also had wins of $200 and my big $ 650.in total I won over $1500!!!!!
    I used myvegas rewards:-
Aria Dinner buffet for 2 - this was fab,one of the best we have had, more quality not quantity, but most of all we were so impressed with this hotel,we have virtually watched it being built but had nver gone inside before! It is defo one we will consider in future.
Mandalay Brunch buffet for 2- this was good, but not one I would pay full price for.
MGM Grand champagne brunch for 2- we have stayed in this hotel but never done a buffet here- was really impressed with it.
We didnt do any shows, just eat and drank at many of our fav places.
Went to Downtown again for Halloween, good and really surprised how many people dressed up compared to last year.Ended up in gilleys in our hotel, really funny watching people in fancy dress bull riding!!!!
Normally a week flies bybut this time I felt like we had been there 2 weeks it went that slow.
If only we could get there in a nicer, quicker way,my experience coming home with BA has defo put me off going with them again, even the 23 kg of hand luggage couldnt sway me!!!
I think I will stick to Virgin or even Thomas Cook but has to be direct from Manchester!

Thanks for your report, Hovis...the return flight did sound like a nightmare...I know it's not the same, but the 2 at the back on Virgin had limited recline which we knew, but were happy to have a coveted pair...BUT the guy in front of you...I cannot imagine anyone reclining their seat that far and just leaving it...sounds absolutely awful.

We have also found AA flight attendants to be older and more efficient, but always friendly we have thought...they also seem to be feeding you all the time...on Virgin I feel hungry (partly boredom, I know)...never on AA. :) We have always had seat back IFE but we pick our specific flights with that in mind, we avoid the flights listed with the aircraft without seat-back.

We also really like TI...and we also loved the Aria dinner buffet...best buffet dim sum ever...I could probably just have filled up on that. :)

I like reading all kinds of trip reports - and sometimes those that are so not what we do in Vegas can be particularly interesting...so please do post when you're back!
