Gyros = lamb doner = YUMMY!!!!!
I've had kebab in Vegas, Orlando and NYC, as well as on euro beer holidays....
But gotta be said, only us Brits do the best kebabs!!!
I made a big booboo about 3 / 4 weeks ago..
I booked with PARIS hotel and asked them to price match, given I could get 3 days for £119 (compared to the usual £400+ price!)
Anyway, they wouldn't price match and got a refund....
But instead of me booking with either Quickrooms or Travelrepublic, I did nothing, so now the rates are back up to normal (High!)
Dooooooooooooooooooooooooh!!!!!
Well, as budget goes, we got £707 to spend on Vegas hotels...
3 nights and then 8 nights (LA already paid for)....
Bargain Hunter head is still on!0 -
Wanting to go early next year jan, feb or March, 4 adults don't know where to start !!! Help please
If you want it easy - but don't mind paying a bit over the odds then take a look at Virgin Holidays.
Depending on where you're flying from, you might not get direct flights at that time of year. Iirc for example, Virgin and Thomas Cook fly direct from Manchester but only from April - October.
If you don't booking seperately (and paying the cost of flights up front) then check out www.skyscanner.net and see what deals you can get on flights. You can usually do a search which will show the price fluctuations over an entire month - and if you're flexible (and willing to fly indirect) can get some good deals.
Then decide what kind of budget you want for hotels, the prices can vary dramatically - especially over a weekend and if there's big conferences in town.0 -
Easier option for you:
Pick the date you want to go, always a good start !0 -
On this weeks Travelzoo there's a BA deal which looks good - apparently you pay £1 for accomodation on top of your flight for the rest of 2013. I know December is a cheap month anyway, but some of the deals look really good.0

god now I want a gyro...while I agree the principle is similar to kebab, I think the spices and taste are different...not necessarily better or worse, just different...and since I haven't found gyros in London now I am really really craving one.
I wonder if we started a Facebook group for Bring Back the Greek Pizza at the Aria Cafe it would do any good?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Tell us what sort of things you likeotherwise, we're just going to recommend things that may not be of any interest
If you like getting insulted, try sitting on the front row of Absinthe, if you like topless women then maybe something like Fantasy, if you like singing then Jersey Boys, if you like people in blue paint playing the drums, then Blue Man Group, if you like something funny then... (and so on, etc etc). Is budget a factor? Do you have an affinity to Matt Goss or Donny and Marie or Cher or Britney etc etc
You'll get better feedback if you can provide more information
(by the way, none of the above are recommendations - i'm just trying to highlight the variety of shows)0 -
A lot of people suggest booking flight only, but can I just point out it can be cheaper to book flight + hotel (even just for one night) because you can get 6% cashback on quidco on a package. So for example if you book the Orleans which is about £30 per night along with your flight, the cost may even be reduced by the company for booking them together, plus you would additionally get more quidco cashback, making it cheaper overall. You can then decide if you wish to stay at that hotel. Worked well for us this year because our one night was Sunday night of the Labor Day weekend and we really couldn't find a cheap rate anywhere.0

Where and who should I be looking to book with ??
Hi Kelly
I have only been twice but both times ive booked my flights through expedia, and both times Ive flown dublin to heathrow (aer lingus) then heathrow to vegas (BA).
For a first trip there is so much info to try & take on board so if you have any questions, I will try my best to help if you want to PM me? I'm sure some of the regulars know a lot more than I do but I would be happy to give you some friendly advice.
For hotels, I booked using either lowcostusa or travel republic. Dont forget to check quidco or topcashback for any cashback.
Like one of the others have said, the flight is more important than hotel & pools seem to close from october/november to feb.0 -

Agree but really want to stress again that before booking flights hotel rates should at least be checked...there are times that are low season for UK flights, but Vegas is rammed due to various reasons so hotels can be through the roof...and could be a nasty surprise if hotel costs aren't checked before booking flights. If someone is flexible they can choose a time that is less expensive (and less crowded)...sometimes even the matter of a couple of days one way or the other can have a big impact on hotel costs.
On the shows question have to agree with nvh...same for hotels, dining options, pretty much everything in Vegas as there's such a huge selection to choose from without some guidance we'll just be giving our favorites which may not come close to fitting the bill of what someone is after.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
