48hrs in, and no response from PARIS hotel about the best rate deal....
They state 72hrs anyway, so if no reply by 8pm tomorrow night, i'll know they are full of it, just like MGM prop's.......

Question is, do I get refund, then book through expressrooms.com (was quickrooms.com), which at £119 for 3 nights in May is pretty dam good!, or do I hold out for something else! hmmmmmmmmmmm
Only other hotels that show up similar prices or less to that are:
Luxor (don't mind staying there again)
    Excal
    Flamingo
Even Travelrepublic.co.uk have the Paris room for £126 (£7 more than expressroooms)

Think I just like testing the hotels on there best rate deals instead of where we stay ! :D:D

    ** update **
DOH!! just had a reply from PARIS hotel...
I sent the blank BRG form to them, not the completed one! doh!!!!!
    Major skool boy error!!!

Just having last minute concerns about my transit time at JFK tomorrow.

We arrive at terminal 4 (I think) and leave from terminal 3.

Anyone know how long it takes and if its is easy..is it walkable or a train involved etc etc.

we should have about 2 and half hours
EDIT looks like terminal 3 is closed , todays flight is from terminal 2

OH dear looks like I might have made a big mistake going through JFK as reading reviews it looks like it is horrendous to get through immigration.

Still not sure how and where to drop baggage either
  • I'm on the verge of booking for June next year. Do people think this is a good deal? There are 4 of us booking.

    Saturday 7th June-Saturday 14th June
Indirect flights with Delta/KLM (but at good convenient times)
7 nights in Monte Carlo standard room
    £750 per person

JFK IS a nightmare with immigration.

Forewarn the crew if your connection is tight, they may be able to get ground assistance on arrival.

Last time I was in JFK, I remember taking 30 mins to queue to get through passport check, and also the terminals had a speedy tram system to get from terminal to terminal.... I am talking 2005 though, so maybe stuff has changed over the years ?!

I panicked a few a months back when doing separate flights to AMS, then AMS to vegas via philly and worried about the inbetween times, but still worked out we had plenty time to spare as things moved along swiftly :)

After reading horror stories with opodo i decided to go down the flight/hotel separate route.

Since its memorial weekend ive gone and booked a banker hotel. Hopefully in the next couple of months i can find an cheaper offer (Or closer to the time contact my casino host at TI and see if can blag a couple of comp rooms for the weekend :))

3 Nights booked direct with excalibur, 2 rooms.....$748 inc resort fee's (ouch!)

At least doing it direct its easy to cancel the booking if i find a better deal.

    this looks good to me.

    Finally;

"The Beatles LOVE," according to Variety magazine, "delivers the goods in the manner of the best Vegas shows." Discounted tickets are available for shows through Dec. 10 in the following seating sections at The Mirage Hotel and Casino:
    • Price Level D ... $55 (reg. $104)
    • Price Level C ... $80 (reg. $130)
    • Price Level B ... $105 (reg. $155)

I'd recommend this and I'd happily have the level D seats (in fact I did earlier this year).

No sorry forgot to mention that's 2 separate rooms!

So based on KLM/Delta flights likely being no less than £550 (at this years prices), and a room at Monte Carlo for 7 nights likely to be in the region of £400 that would make £3,000 (based on 2 rooms).

4 people at £750 each therefore looks ok to me.

I might be out on the room price but I doubt by much.

I think four people at £600 for flights and 2 rooms for 7 days at £300 per room is decent. Would I book it, no. Would others book it, yes.

Difference is risk profiles. You will know yours and those of the other 3. Some people will want it booked now, some will not care in most mixed groups.

I like to wait and make spur of the moment decisions based on flight sale prices and I book when I see a price I like. Hotels are sorted thereafter and we move around - example next Mar/Apr we are doing 9 nights, 3 hotels. But we have an advantage of date flexibility most of the time.

Usual story - if you think it represents value and you are happy with the hotel then it's a good deal.
