  • my mantra is usually - if it's a price you're happy with, then get it booked. especially as you say it's THAT weekend, and people might not have got to booking that far ahead yet.

always a gamble, but if it feels like a good price to you, go for it and you can sleep at night ;)

    200 and bl00dy 30 days for me, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!! :D:D:D

On a side note, am wondering what to do with this scenario...
Were going to LA for 3 nights, that said, Thurs to Sun..... Fri & Sat = Memorial weekend (May 23rd-25th)

Picked the 'Hampton Inn' in Santa Clarita as its close to Six Flags and has better reviews than the Hilton Garden Inn Six Flags.....
Using Trivago.co.uk, shows up as !!!!!!!!!!! as the cheapest to book for 1 night which would be the Thursday, for £61.38 (non-refundable rate), i'd use my Hilton honours points for the Friday night......
As I got no idea what the average rate for that hotel would be, I do wonder where to book now just in case it does go up, based on that particular weekend? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The sat night, were gonna be staying in the Holiday Inn @ Hermosa Beach, even that is showing up as £100 for the Sat night at the mo, but as above, unsure if that's a good rate or not...
Just wonder whether to book now, despite being many many months away! :D

have you checked the rates booking direct with the hotels? And how the non-refundable rates compare to the cheapest refundable options?

Hilton does have a best rate guarantee, we've used it before and they matched (and it was a silly, silly match - we thought for sure they would knock it back and were gobsmacked when they approved it).

Can't you just check some random other dates or a rate calendar to get a general feel how rates normally compare to the specific dates you are looking at?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

FWIW, I've had good experiences with Expedias Best Rate guarantee - http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/price-guarantee/default.aspx - but it does depend on the rate you have booked. I'm assuming the prices you've looked at are non-refundable though as you seem quite savvy on things like this ;)

Hi folks, we're looking to do the 3.5 hour limo tour of the strip ( DD has never been in one, and it's a good way to get round and see the free shows since we're only there for 3 nights.

Can anyone recommend a good lim o tour company - hubby found the 5 star limo company, around $80 cheaper than similar tour at PResidential limos - but 5* are really sparse on reviews.

    Thanks in advance, as usual.

It lets you out in between.

"The Las Vegas Strip is a spectacle unlike any other in the world and is worth experiencing fully. Instead of just driving past the major sights, our private 3.5 hour Las Vegas Strip Limo Tour actually stops so that you can get out and watch the outdoor shows and explore! While sipping your complimentary bottle(s) of champagne, you will make stops at The Las Vegas Sign, Fountains of Bellagio, Sirens of T.I. Show, Mirage Volcano Explosion, and the Fremont Street Experience. Experience the Las Vegas Strip as it is meant to be seen!"

The limo tour sounds like it covers quite a lot. There are likely also bus tours doing similar (more MSE), but it sounds like a nice way to spend an evening. Would take you ages to get to FSE on the Deuce so you'd probably save quite a bit of time compared to public transport.
