Thanksgiving should be 28 November.
Edit - I thought it was the 3rd Thursday in November when it is actually the 4th Thursday.0 -
Thanksgiving is late late November this year.
I'm going 20-25th and it was £636 all in with BA. That's the Monte Carlo.
However I paid only £750 each with BA and 3nts trop, 3nts palazzo back in January.
I can't recommend the palazzo enough for the romance. The rooms are sumptuous0 -
Isn;t Thanksgiving always late November ?
Oh Ferf...where aaaaare you ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
ha - it's the 4th Thursday in November.
for most of my life I thought it was the last Thursday in November and one year was very, very confused.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I'm thinking impulsively and might book Las Vegas for November. When it comes to holidays outside of Europe I don't have a clue so some advice needed. This will be a surprise for my girlfriend and is pending us getting the time off work.
I was looking at Thursday 14th November - Thursday 21st November.
Skyscanner shows flights of around £515 each, possibly some better airlines available for the £580 mark. How are these prices?
A quick look on Booking.com, the first place i checked, and i am surprised at how cheap the hotels are. Considering i have paid £100+ a night at Premier Inn's in the past, I am surprised to see nice double rooms coming in around £750 for the week. Where is best to book hotels?
Also, if time off becomes a problem, i would like to go early 2014. How early on would get me a good balance of weather and acitivities?
Advice greatly appreciated.
you can get 7 nights at Wynn/Encore for @ £700 on lowcostusa those dates, or 7 nights Mandalay Bay £419 inc resort fee and plenty of others with prices in between0 -
Thanks for the replies thus far.
I will do some research but I heard Mandalay Bay is great, why is there such a difference between that and the Encore for example? These are both hotels i will be looking at.
Think i need to look in to it some more before coming back with more questions!0 -

Encore is a 5* property and the rooms are all classed as suites...they are great, we think...Mandalay Bay is very nice - really liked our room there, but personally I think Encore is nicer...whether it's £300 nicer I'm not sure.
One of the Encore rooms we have stayed in (the beds and bedding are fabulous)

For the money I would check Cosmo though...the terrace suite room we stayed in as a treat for our 20th trip was by far our favourite room ever...even the terrace one bedroom we had was probably pretty close to Encore in our eyes, if not about even...thanks to all the people here who suggested it, we hadn't even considered staying there...more mid-strip location too which can be nice for a first trip...as Mandalay Bay is far south and Encore is far north.
Ultimately it depends on how much you want to spend and what it's worth to you to stay somewhere a bit nicer...you'll get more for your money than you would most places in Europe, but for some people it's not worth paying that much more for 5*...we are not usually 5* people but it's nice on occasion...for a week probably not for us...for 3 nights at the end of the trip, yes.
Maybe you would consider splitting your stay between 2 hotels...I used to be wholly against it, now we do it almost every trip...again, thanks to people here suggesting and we finally listened and tried it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I'm planning my 5th trip for next June, this time it's for my younger sister's 21st birthday. So far the list of attendees is me (male) plus 4 females (!!!!!!!!!!). I've only ever done Vegas with my male friends before so will be interesting to see it from a different perspective...just hope there's not too much shopping etc.!0

Are there any hotels in Vegas who have rooms big enough for 5-7 people?0

i wouldn't imagine so, you can get 2 bedroom suites/penthouses, but i'd imagine they're more designed for families or people who want a lot of space.
you could look at hiring and apartment or condo? but i've never looked into that.0
