Couldn't one of them get a taxi to the airport with the luggage whilst the other drives? Probably cheaper than paying the Bellagio to sort it.

Agree with this - also I would want to be sure my luggage was making it.

There used to be a service (Bags to Go) which you could use to check in and leave your bags at a few hotels and they would deliver to the airport but looks like it is no longer available.

I would think that they could leave the luggage with the bell desk at Bellagio but may be worth just confirming with them for peace of mind.

    Hey all,
This is for my pal who goes on Thursday, but also for me when I go next year.....

My mate has also booked a Corvette from Hertz, there off to San Fran for 3 days, then back to Vegas for 5..... he's booked the Corvette from the airport, so when I mentioned boot space is kinda not there, his words were "oh f&^k !' :D:D:D

He's staying at the Palazzo first, then off to San Fran, then staying at the Bellagio for 5 nights.... (were doing something similar, just cheaper hotels! :D )

    He was wondering if:
Would the Bellagio allow them to leave there big suitcases in the luggage room 3 days before check-in so they take there cabin size cases only to San Fran ??????
And if the hotel did that, given he's gonna be taking the corvette back to the airport on fly home day, do the Bellagio offer some kind of service to get there bags to the airport for them ? (at a cost of course...)

Any ideas ? were gonna be in same boat, as I booked the corvette for 4 days, and was hoping just to take our small cases to LA for the 2 nights.....

All your friends need to remember is that it is vegas baby, speaking with the concierge and pushing a few dollars across gets most things sorted, speak to the concierge and not the hotel reception for sure.

For those MyVegas players out there.....

What (if any) strategy is there to maximising the return you can get for the minimum of input?

I started around the first week in July, log into it a couple of time a day (most of the time but with gaps of sometimes 2-3 days).

    I currently have 33,000 'gold'.

Do you think that is a reasonable return for the time and play described above or is it a little light?

Typically I will use the game feeds app to collect free chips, then log in, collect strip money, then spend it all playing max bets (auto spins)on one of the games. Log in 3-4 hours later and repeat. I'm at level 50 and after some largeish wins this lunchtime have 100,000 in chips. I figured this might be a good time to ask if I'm maximising the possible returns.

I'm specifically wondering if I should be forgetting about the gold's for now and play minimum stakes to get the strip hotels built. Any opinions?

Of course, I could just be over thinking a daft game!!

Got my Penn and Teller tickets booked for the 2nd week of October. Going to be there for 4 days, but this is the only thing on the list right now.

I'm pretty sure that was the strategy I read here - low stakes until you have your hotels built...so that's what I did...I normally only actually play when there are double points on or something special...so I normally don't play every day, just collect my hotels, have my spin accept and send gifts and log out most days...I also don't play max credits but once hotels are built maybe that is a strategy...I always try to log in and do my spin so I don't lose the daily multiplier too.

    Thanks for this.

If I get some time I might try and see if it's easy to work out from the basic maths - what I mean is that the return on the same win when playing 300 would be far less than when playing 6,000. The key will be how much and how often cash can be collected from the hotels I don't have (I'm up to a completed Bellagio so no MGM, Luxor, Aria (maybe one more)? And whether that extra income is greater than the potential additional winnings for playing higher stakes.

I would suspect that betting the higher stakes is better.

But then just as I finish typing the above I remember that the collection on hotels is occationally the gold so that would also need to be factored in.

I'm leaning towards max bets being better I think.

we did this once and didn't find a significant difference - of course when you win big you win much bigger at max bet...but you have a lot less time to get a decent win before you are out of chips...just like playing the slots in real life, I think...we could take our daily budget and throw it in a higher stakes machine - if we won we would probably be pretty darn happy...but if we didn't we would be awfully bored until the next day rolled around and we could replenish. :)

we also did a comparison on number of Vs at different stakes - to see, on average, if a particular stake seemed to generate a higher number of Vs when looking at the percentage of cost to return...there was only a tiny amount in it but obviously based on a relatively small sample.

The importance of insurance. Recently taken ill at McCarran airport. Medics were called and I was transported to the Desert Springs Hospital which is four miles away.

I was dehydrated due to extreme diarrhea and some sickness. I was at the hospital for a total of eight hours undergoing tests to see what the problem was. Final diagnosis was gastroenteritis. Here are the three bills for the tests etc

Ambulance trip to hospital (four miles)............$1,014

    Emergency evaluation by doctor....................$962

Tests plus anti sickness drugs (8 hour stay)....$18,730

So for a four mile trip an evaluation and a few tests and drugs $20,706 !!! I wasn't allowed to fly for two days and my own out of pocket expenses came to over £900. Thankfully I was covered and everything has now been paid.

Just a heads up really as I expect most savvy USA holiday makers will already know how ridiculously expensive hospital care in the States actually is.
    It's someone else's fault.

Thanks for heads up, I knew it was expensive but didn't realise it was that much for 8 hours

 I knew it was expensive, but not that expensive! Hope you are feeling better. :)

Weirdly, we were just talking about travel insurance about 15 mins go, we need to sort some out, just looking around for the best deal.

We saw a documentry once (Morgan Spurlock? Michael Moore?), and it really opened your eyes to the American Health Care system.
