Yay! :j Are you packed already?

I'd never heard about Terry Fator until he was mentioned on here, but he looks really good!

Toiletries all sorted, most of my clothes are lying out, a few things need ironed. Suitcases are out, and sitting in the spare room. :j

I had seen Terry Fator advertised, and we saw Avenue Q a few years back and it's also puppets and we really enjoyed it. Decided to look up Terry Fator on youtube and thought it looked really good. Seems to get good reviews too.

Only thing I'm dreading is the jetlag on arrival. I really really struggle with that. :(

I believe there has been really bad weather - thunderstorms/flooding. We had that last year when we were there. Hopefully it clears up soon for us going (and for NVH's arrival shortly!).

We've got our cases out already (actually been out for a few weeks now because we got one of them back off the MIL and we wanted to see how heavy they were), got a lot of clothes washed, ironed and ready....its the end of Sept we're going lol! :rotfl:

We always seem to be worse with jet lag on the way back, on arrival, we dont seem to suffer too much....touch wood!

We once had a thunderstorm and really heavy rain, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't have seen the pavements the next day, I slept right through it! Like you say, hope it clears up soon.

You will be counting down the days too then Georgiegirl!

When we were there last year, Sept 11 was a record day for rainfall. It was also the day we picked up our car and thought 'what the heck are we going to do' we had enough bother getting out of Treasure Island and we were planning to go to the outlets but had bother getting down the strip. We eventually turned left into Tropicana to go back to the Platinum, and someone overtook us in the left turn late and hit our car. They later said it was our fault and even claimed we'd admitted it at the time!!! Anyway, the LDW/CDW or whatever was fine so we had no issues.

Well it's only 5 days till we go now. Sorry if I'm annoying those with longer to wait. :rotfl:

I've got rather a stack of documentation, with all the groupon deals, 4 different hotels, car hire docs, and a few coupons printed. Still more to print though. We've got more organised than usual. Last year I don't even know if we went to a show. There has been times we've only seen a stand up comedy show and that's it. So having 2 things booked is relatively unusual for us! Prices were good though so I'd rather book them than take the chance of it costing more once we are there.

    It's all quite exciting. :j

    Yup, sure am!!

What you've mentioned above is why I'd hate to drive in America! Sure it gives you freedom, but I'd be a nervous wreck! :rotfl: Glad you were both ok though. :)

It's strange, but we've got more organised this year too. Food for instance doesn't usually feature that highly, we usually lose our appetites when we go abroad, but this time we've got a really long list of places we want to visit! We got 4 shows listed so far, last time I think we only went to see Ka. There are 2-3 things we want to do off strip, Neon Museum, ATV biking with a stop at Buffalo Bills, and possibly the Pawn Stars tour (but reviews have put the hubby off abit). We were sitting here the other night, going 'what on earth did we actually DO last time?!'. :rotfl: Oh, and we'll also be going to the zipline ride at the Rio if it's open in time. We'll probably do that before seeing Penn and Teller and then have something to eat there.

My Jet lag tip is just to stay up when you get there, too many crash and burn after a few hours and its the worst thing you can do.

I've just had the worst news ever, I get back from our US trip in the first week of November, then 32hrs after arriving in the UK I have to get back on a plane over to the US for a two week business trip - now that might just kill me...

    Hey all,
This is for my pal who goes on Thursday, but also for me when I go next year.....

My mate has also booked a Corvette from Hertz, there off to San Fran for 3 days, then back to Vegas for 5..... he's booked the Corvette from the airport, so when I mentioned boot space is kinda not there, his words were "oh f&^k !' :D:D:D

He's staying at the Palazzo first, then off to San Fran, then staying at the Bellagio for 5 nights.... (were doing something similar, just cheaper hotels! :D )

    He was wondering if:
Would the Bellagio allow them to leave there big suitcases in the luggage room 3 days before check-in so they take there cabin size cases only to San Fran ??????
And if the hotel did that, given he's gonna be taking the corvette back to the airport on fly home day, do the Bellagio offer some kind of service to get there bags to the airport for them ? (at a cost of course...)

Any ideas ? were gonna be in same boat, as I booked the corvette for 4 days, and was hoping just to take our small cases to LA for the 2 nights.....

Look at a service like https://www.sendmybag.com/ maybe?

They courier your luggage so you dont need to worry about leaving it with the hotel and it means you can get straight to your car when you clear customs :)

It had never really appealed to me, purely because I didn't really know who they were. Then I saw their show on ITV, and Penn on Celebrity Apprentice, and I thought they were great!

Couldn't one of them get a taxi to the airport with the luggage whilst the other drives? Probably cheaper than paying the Bellagio to sort it.
