My fiance wants to visit a shooting range, we also want to try a good steakhouse (have heard good things about Envy?) and also a good BBQ restaurant if there is one.
There's a new shooting range that may be worth looking at...I haven't been, also haven't been to The Gun Store though I do remember a lot of reviews saying if you weren't interested in one of the bigger packages they weren't really interested in you.

We've been to Envy a couple of times and we really like it...it is on restaurant.com so worth looking into that and any discount codes that may be out there.
For BBQ we normally go to Ellis Island though last trip we were not sure if it was as good as before. We may try to check out the Memphis Championship BBQ next time we're in the Green Valley area based on reviews here...BBQ is one of those things that can vary quite a lot so what some people love other people aren't so impressed with...a few years ago we tried RUB at Rio (now closed) and we were really disappointed and paid waaaaay more than EI...so we tend to stick with what we know we like.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Hi all, found this fantastic resource, if, like me, you struggle to get your bearings.
Various casino hotel maps and layouts and strip maps. It's interesting to figure out whereabouts some things are.

their website/twitter seems to have 'stopped' at the end of June 2012... so not sure how long the site will be up... might save all the documents just in case, for future use.0 -
Hello All I'm Back Now Planning My Next Trip To Vegas For My Honeymoon In August 2014. Looking at staying at the Tropicana In A Penthouse Loft Suite. I like the south end of the strip and will get a lot more for our money, Has anyone stayed in one before or got contacts at the trop?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Ooh we got a restaurant.com voucher for envy am really excited, I assume easy to get a cab too? Or is it walkable0

You can get the monorail to the Convention Center and it's a 2 minute walk from there. They do a nice cocktail made with fresh strawberry juice.0

agree on getting to Envy, though we've always been staying at Bally's so it's easy to get to the monorail since there's a stop there...and we've always had a deal on a daily monorail pass...at $5 per ride one way for 2 people depending on where you're coming from and how much of a faff it would be to get to a monorail stop a taxi may make more sense.
Or the SDX (Strip and Downtown Express) bus also stops at the Convention Center ...$8 for a 24-hour pass which would let you go downtown or to the outlets or wherever.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Looking at booking tonight, Circus Circus in sept for 6 nights, a 1 stop flight, £615 pp with holiday genie. Just wondering if thats a fair price (it seems to be with the searches) also anybody had any experience of holiday genie?
Thanks Claire0 -
whats your reason in choosing at circus circus??? There are far better hotels on strip for similar price, are you taking children?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I'm pretty sure holiday genie is one of the ones that pops up on the main overseas travel thread with tendency to advise the customer that the price has increased, etc. have you checked flights + hotel as separate elements to compare?
also agree that CC may not be the best option, but some are just fine with it - just depends on individual circumstances.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

CC is cheap, very cheap. The manor lodge rooms are only abvout $20 a night so six nights would only be about $150 inc tax or about £100 so you could prob do as well booking seperately with a 1 stop flight.
The above assumes it is a manor room, if it is a Tower room then the deal is ok, the tower rooms are great value for money but you are still in CC, where most people dont step foot in due to the number of kids who go there.
It is also away up the strip with nothing nearby except the Riviera opposite
The above is an insight so that if you do book you can manage your expectations
