Hertz do a guaranteed Mustang soft top, cost a bit more than normal...

Dollars main soft-tops are Mustangs, and ironically, Alamo had 5 mustangs and x1 200 when I went to choose my car......

Driving is easier on US roads I find compared to ours, and to drive to the canyon, u gotta goto the south canyon which is 270 miles away, as the west canyon you cant reach in a hire car.......

Next year, using my Xmas bonus, I will be hiring a Corvette for 3 days with Hertz, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! and then an SUV or mustang for the rest of it, that's a whole lot of saving I gotta do, and a whole lotta searching to find that deal that will pop up for 1 day only!

This is the hertz price, i would pay this extra £15 odd to make sure we get it!

Oh well the south rim is better is it not? I'm just worried about driving down the strip itself haha Which hertz dealer is closest to the south rim, i mean out the way of the strip lmao

Maybe i'm just over thinking it as im worried (was the same with france and that was amazing!)

Plus GF is included in this price, im sure she wouldn't mind driving half the way HAHAHA

IMO you will have no issues driving, agree with others that in many respects its easier - the biggest issue I had first time was adjusting to automatic but it was hardly a real problem.

The 'shop' opening times will differ from location to location.

I 'think' but am not 100% that you may as well pick up at 8 or 9 am and drop off at the same time the following day. I believe that most rentals are charged in 24 bour periods and therefore you'll pay the same for 6am - 11pm.

I've twice hired mustang convertibles and they have been available upon arrival although I accepted the possibility that I'd end up with an equivalent.

yeah, 24hr rental, pointless doing same day rental, parking free at hotels too..
Same as doing a rental for 5 days is pointless, as doing it for 7 days will cost the same as 5 days (as I found when doing quotes with dollar & Alamo)..

Maybe i can persuade her otherwise but as we are only there 6 days she wants to fit in as much as possible!
