    Yes - any credit card. Duchy was asking about using a debit card...

    I know, what I was saying was that they were telling me to bring a credit card. I think that means they know I will be asked for one, and therefore I would assume there would be issues if I didn't have one (and only had a debit card).

    I'm not sure if Duchy has a card but they have decided not to use abroad....might be necessary just for this one thing, but I think the only way to find out is to call the pickup location and ask how they will handle the situation where a hirer only has a debit card.

    Ah sorry for misunderstanding you!

    Yeah I think she was saying her partner just doesn't want to use his credit card abroad...but he may just have to! :(

    You can turn right at a red light unless it says otherwise.

    LOL I have driven in the US-I just don't like to so haven't done it in years. I have a slight left right confusion (probably mild dyspraxia as my son has that) and although I *can* drive there it does my head in as I have to really concentrate. My favourite was how weird it felt on the east coast going around one of their rare roundabouts the "wrong" way.

    :eek::eek:

    I must never go wherever these are. I still don't like the roundabouts going the right way here.

    have done the magic roundabout in Swindon which appears similar. terrifyingly similar. Also Hanger Lane gyratory - but only once and at like 6am Saturday morning...but these all at least go the right way...add in going the opposite direction and there would be tears.

    Regarding storms...If a rental car gets damaged during one, like flooded at the car park for example are we covered? I've rented through USrentacar with all the usual insurances. Thanks.
