I too wish I had joined Myvegas in October when Baza52 was talking about it.It was my abject fear of Facebook that stopped me,I still dont like it and worry every time I log on that someone wants to friend me!I read this thread for two years before I joined,so infact I felt like I knew you all before I said a word and you are all a friendly bunch ( laundrygate was a little scary!!)
8 weeks to go and yes I'm counting!!

This is a good offer for one of the top restaurants in Vegas, Alize at the top of the Palms. $129 instead of $222 for a 3 course meal and a cocktail each. 18% gratuity added to the full price plus tax. Considering I was $18 for a very small glass of wine there 2 or 3 years ago it is a good deal.

I was on the verge of buying it, but hubby isn't keen as we've been there 3 times and are already struggling to fit all the restaurants.

We are intending trying Gallacher's. Has anyone been and if so, what did you think? I have never seen any offers for it, but would be happy to be corrected.

I am worried we have too many steak dinners planned and will be steaked out before the end.

So far we have Gordon Ramsay Steak and Prime Rib Loft booked and have still to book Envy and Gallacher's. We have Casa di Amore booked, but I can have something other than steak there.

We have vouchers for 3 dinner buffets and plans to go to PF Chang's and the Harley-Davidson Cafe.

Looks like Mon Ami Gabi is going to have to wait yet again.

If that's the 1 opposite the Aria on the corner by Planet Hollywood, give it a miss just been there this morning for a breakfast, disgusting, dirty cups, very poor value in my opinion.

Your travel authorization is under review because an immediate determination could not be made. This response does not indicate negative findings. A determination will be available within 72 hours. Return to this website to retrieve and view the ESTA status of a previously submitted authorization for one or for a group of two or more persons.

Slightly concerned with this esta visa response, got no reason to get refused. Is this common?

Yeah same happened to us, don't worry

Is there a dress code, I am normally in shorts and fitflops, should I put shoes and trousers on?

IIRC, there wasn't a dress code as such, but I wore jeans (and trainers) and a collared t-shirt to try and fit in the last time we went... quite certain I've worn shorts there before though, but can't be 100% i'm afraid

cheers for the heads up - I have a restaurant.com certificate I got for free, so not stuck on going - but we'll take that into account :) I think a few off here have been previously though and not had issues so maybe they've dropped their standards, or it was an off-day :)

we have plenty of other places on our 'not eaten there yet' list so we should be ok finding somewhere to eat over ten days :D

Here's a "1000 gold coins" link for the Facebook game everyone seems to play ;) - if you get a message instead of the coins, they've either expired of you've already redeemed them before :)
