Firefox for me and works OK but doesn't seem to filter by what I tell it to filter to in terms of only showing the alliance listings...seems to bring back more than that.
I will try to do some investigation when I'm home in the summer...I haven't wanted to spend Vegas time testing it (and last trip we made exactly zero withdrawals, the trip before only one)...will feel bad if it's bad info but maybe it's OK.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MGM to build an outdoor park between NYNY and MC

I should have reported this when I did it last week. Been messing about with our hotel plans again. We had 1 night Orleans, 4 nights Palazzo, and 8 nights Platinum. I thought what if maybe we could tag 2 more nights (weekend nights) at Palazzo and then just do 6 at Platinum. I also wondered if this was likely to work, given it's weekend nights as well.
So, I was looking on Priceline Express Deals and the 5* North Strip was coming up as $155 per night over the weekend. I thought..hmm..not bad. But then also wondered what I would save by changing our stay at Platinum. I got a quote back for the rates, and then did my bid on Priceline (not express) .$155 was £101 at the time, so I decided to try knocking it down to £80 to see what happens. I expected it not to work and that I'd need to build up in stages. I won the bid at £80 and got Venetian. I'm actually not bothered that we need to move, £80 is fantastic for Fri, Sat at the Venetian anyway!!
I have also got a Gaetano's groupon now, and several 2/1 deals from LVA.
Here's the food plans:-
Gaetano's - Groupon deal
Wynn Buffet - because we love it
Orleans Buffet - because we'll do quiz at McMullan's and Big Al's Comedy
Rio Buffet - 2/1 I think in LVA
Green Valley Ranch - 2/1 and we like it
Harrah's buffet - 25% off LVA
Mirage buffet - 2/1 LVA
Palms buffet - 50% off at Palms LVA
Spice Market buffet at Planet Ho - $10 off LVA
Red Rock buffet - 2/1 LVA
Caesar's buffet - because we haven't been to it
Bellagio buffet - (late lunch) because we like it
Do you think we'll fit all these in....only going for 13 nights
Evening plans so far limited to McMullan's quiz and Big Al's Comedy Club at Orleans. Will think of more though. :T0 -
Just been wondering, seems to me that most on here fly Virgin compared to BA. What is your reasoning for doing this, is it because you live in the south so LGW is closer to get to for you, (but then BA fly fly from LGW as well)or do you prefer landing in the afternoon instead of the evening? Seeing that the 2 companies still collaborate on pricing that wouldn't be a reason. Or are you caught in the loyalty program thing. We used to fly all the time with VS but as soon as BA started the route via LHR we have never been on a Virgin plane again. Mainly to start with because it cut 1 1/2 hours off of our travel time. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Hi, yes for me it was the airmilesI booked in october for 18th Aug this year for 2 weeks. 4 adults one child came in at 3,383 with virgin plus 2,000 airmiles each. At the time, they were by far the cheapest. I only ever book who is the cheapest, I don't have a preference for a particular carrier

We go from Manchester so Virgin is our only option for a direct flight. I've only ever flown on BA once (even then only from MAN - LGW to catch a VS flight on to Vegas!) so can't really compare the two. I do like Virgin though and we're doing pretty well at racking up Flying Club miles now, so we haven't got any reason to try another airline"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Dont care who I fly with although the last BA flight was the worst experience ever.
I choose my flights by price either from Norwich or London, my flights next week are with Virgin as they were the cheapest at time of booking0 -
The Bank of America one is really close and had no surcharge posted on it. It's also usefully on the way to WalgreensI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

for us we prefer the Virgin flight times, picking seats 90 days before without paying, and using twilight check-in at LGW...the refurbed planes make quite a big difference over what they were not long ago...but I can understand why some would have their own list of reasons to fly BA.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
