  • re: trip reports - if anyone's TR from the 2012 thread is missing, please do just PM me/post the link and I'll add it. All I did was search the thread for "trip report" and "TR" so a few may have slipped the net :)
I'll also get round to tidying up previous threads' TRs and archive those too.

MyVegas - I remember a bit of a chat about this in the 2012 thread, can anyone give a brief overview of how it works, what you do, do you need lots of friends playing it, etc. I could be up for it if all it needs is a bit of time to earn some free buffets, etc. (give me something to do will the OH watches Downton Abbey or whatever! :D)
Could add it to the Misc post on the front page too :)

    Morning all :)
I booked last night for our target budget of £700... Fly out May 22nd for 10 nights, booked us in the Excalibur, so i sure hope the $20 sandwich gets us into a nice room (and a king bed even, as booking with expedia got us 2 queens!), and hope to get the nicer rooms that i've seen on tripadvisor reports!!! :):)

Our battle plan is a KLM flight from Bristol to Amsterdam....
2 hours to check-in ready for the US Airways flight (10:50am)
Noticed we gotta change terminals/plane in Philly, and then onto Vegas! :):):)
When we get back, we land in Amsterdam at 08:40 , but our flight back to Bristol is at 16:30....
So plan is to store suitcases in the luggage hold thing at the airport (read it was 9 euros per case), and then bus or train into the city to take a look around! :D:D
Looking forward to it all !!! :D:D

what was the name of the website you can buy discount food vouchers for in vegas ? i remember getting 1 for stripburger last time, but cant recall name!

Anyone got this working for ipad/ iPhone?

Apparently there is an app called photon that you can download and use - is talked about on the 2 myvegas friends groups - haven't done it myself yet.

The key to it in the longer term is to play regularly (but could be 10 mins a day) andget loads of friends playing it. But that is fairly easy as there are a couple of friends groups already set up (My vegas friends and myvegas friends and deals?)who will add you as friends. More friends = more gifts and extra bonus on daily "spin". There are then "guides" on best strategy etc within the tips section of those groups.

I only started playing following bazza's? hints on here and as i say have lots of freebies lined up. (I have been a long time lurker) That is of course not to say that they won't stop or change it. A number of the awards have to be used within 3 months of redemption (eg buffets/ shows) but for rooms you can redeem the reward now as long as you book the room within 3 months. I have booked out to september.
  • StuieUK34 - see my post two above your last one - it's dead easy, quick and cheap to get into Amsterdam on the train :)

Looking for a good price on Ballys or Harrah,s for seven days,
    around the middle off Febuary
but seem to get much better
prices from UK websites such as, Lastmiute.com --Netflights--
Lowcostusa.co.uk. Am i missing something? its including taxes.
Last time I went to LV it was better to book direct.

Been looking again to day, Alpharooms---Skoosh.com---Onhotel
all around £330 7 nights classic double room only.
Expedia.co.uk almost £600 same room and dates, I find it a little puzzling.

Book direct then use their Best Rate Guarantee, they will match the price you are getting and give you an additional 10% off. ;)

    EDIT: Also look for offers/codes:
