IIRC the T&Cs say that you must have a valid driving licence. However we were never asked for it.

It's probably because the first mile or so is on the open road before you get to the canyon.

I wouldn't mind, but I have just called the Orleans to book show tickets and asked then. The guy didn't think there was a shuttle now, but gave me the main number to call. I was just about to do that when I saw your posts.
