Sorry I missed your post. You should have sent me a PM!
Probably the same as you did. I looked at the available seating on TM, chose the seats I wanted, which I think are Table 22 Seats 1 & 6, then called the box office and asked if I could book the TZ offer with them. We had 2 dates in mind and chose the date with the best seats available.
We had Table 28 the last 2 times we have gone and they were great seats, but these ones are even closer.
Hope you enjoy the show. When do you go?
Going May 7th got table 23
thanks for the heads up , wife got all emotional when I told her I had booked0 -
Can I just ask - when trying to get a comped or cheap room with Total Rewards, do you just log in and go to 'deals' at the top then search hotel, dates etc? I'm not getting a freebie for Harrah's Laughlin, but it's giving me a reduced rate of $12 upwards, depending on the room. Am I honestly looking for a better deal than that? :rotfl:
Just thought I'd check in case I'm not doing it right. It says I have 0 deals, so can't do it that way.0 -

So long as you are logged in you can go to reservations and it will check all CET hotels in a given place and given dates.
think that makes sense0 -
How do you find the queues at M buffet? We went on a previous visit and ended up leaving because the queues were hideous - wont matter too much this time as we are staying there but wandered if there's a best/better time to go. We are there Thurs/Fri/Sat before moving on to the Four Seasons
We have never waited more than 15 minutes, but we are early eaters, lunch at 12 and dinner at 5, can't eat any later than that or I feel full for the whole eveningThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Looking at Priceline and Hotwire for hotels. What was Little America like? Do you remember anything about how you bidded, ie was it just 'Flagstaff' and was it 3*. I've only looked on the Express deals section, not yet tried any bidding. Need to have flights booked before we bid for anything. How many nights did you do in each place, and how did you find it? Also now off to log into Total Rewards to see what we can get in Laughlin....might be tempted by 2 nights if free/v cheap. Will be midweek. Arrive Pheonix Saturday, so will def be midweek as we travel across to Vegas - Weekend will be spent in Vegas (unfortunately more expensive for hotels) but it's just the way it works in.
Found little america to be a nice hotel, big rooms nice pool area, restaurant, bar.Found $60 to be a almost given according to the biddingfortravel.com forum.Flagstaff is ok for a base touring that area we stayed a couple of nights that was plenty. One evening we went up to the Lowell observetary were you see a presentation then when its dark they let you use the big scope and also local enthusiasts bring there own telescopes and show you things, was good for $11.Laughlin is ok for the night it will be pretty quiet midweek,if your using total rewards make sure if your partner has a card put there number in it should bring the rate down even more.Oatmen seems a popular stopoff if driving between flagstaff and laughlin, enjoyed the drive over the mountains myself0 -

Intersting that you took 2 nights at Flagstaff. Do you think 1 night is not enough? We'll leave Phoenix (or Scottsdale) early, so expect to arrive late morning. We'll drop our stuff off and go to the canyon, then enjoy that evening in town (I have read that it's quite nice to wander around town). Next morning we'll had to Laughlin (bit longer drive at almost 3 hours). Having been in Laughlin before, we expect we'll just arrive, enjoy the sunshine, maybe go over to the mall (which isn't great), probably too hot to go on a boat on the river. Dinner in the evening (possibly a buffet) wander round a few casinos and maybe see if there's a comedy show or something on somewhere. From memory I think Harrah's is at one end of town, will have to check that out. I expect it will be hot for walking in June.
I wonder if we need more time at the canyon, and also should be go to Sedona if we stay in Flagstaff?0 -
Oh, and forgot to say, I just googled Oatman and saw some pics. Looks like quite a bizarre place, although we were planning on going through Lake Havasu, so taking the road that heads south in a sort of U shape and back up to Laughlin. I'm curious about Oatman now though.
I wonder if 3 nights is too much in Pheonix, or dare I say it....is 5 nights too much in Vegas. I sort of see there's more to be explored out here along the way :j0 -
Oatman was a fun diversion for a bit - we happened to arrive just before the shootout was starting so that was handy...and petted and fed some burros which I loved...and looked in a few shops and that was about it...it was very hot but if it was a bit cooler I still do not think we would have stayed that much longer...I think it's a fun place to visit if you are in the general area but wouldn't necessarily think it warranted a significant detour - especially if there's a reasonable likelihood of being in the area another time when a side trip might be convenient.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
