For those that think it is a show just for the girlies, it's not. Marie more than holds her own and it certainly isn't one sided. Hubby wasn't that keen the first time we went, but he loved it and it was him that spotted this deal and suggested it.

My hubby didn't want to go either but in the end did agree it was a good show...but he's still never going back after the signing on stage thing :)...I really enjoyed the show - probably more than I expected to and that was without hubby singing on stage thing...they are great entertainers, anyone can say what they want about them but they sure know how to put on a show...even if they are so little!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

There are some good entertainment offers on Travelzoo at the moment.

    http://www.travelzoo.com/entertainment/las-vegas/

Legends $30.50, Peep Show $35, Terry Fator $36 and Jersey Boys $76.

Donny and Marie are $69.50 instead of $120. I called the box office instead of going through Ticketmaster and saved $8.50 per ticket. The total was actually $20 less than it should have been, but I'm not complaining and we have even better seats than previously and they were great.

My wife wants to go see Donny and marie I have always said no but at that price I think i will book.

You say you called the box office did they automatically give you that deal and how did you get a better seat and what do you consider a better/good seat

sorry for all questions i can get towards the back of the front section via that link, but as there are only 2 of us not sure what to pick as they are all table seats, would be good to get right to front (I think)

EDIT couldnt wait any longer I am impatient lol, and there is only one date that fits in to our visit so rang the box office,| after much discussion because she didnt think she could do the deal over the phone, ended up with 2 seats that I could have booked online but saved all the additional fees and the tickets ended up $8 cheaper so like Luci, saved around $40

    haha!
I love being messed about with the hotel price matching, cos in the end, its got us a whole lot of good stuff for less than that it originally cost to stay at the Excal for 10 days!! :D:D:D:D !!

I'm on the car rental case too, looking to hire for 7 days, however, i dont use a credit card at all, and dont want to be handing over my debit card to have $300 / $500 taken as a hold given theres no excess, etc etc...
The packages i go for include fuel, so in theory they should'nt need to take any money from my card...
Past rentals all were with Dollar, via Usrentacar and Netflights....
But signed up with fuel, and am also a DE member which has my debit card details....
But rentals before only asked to see my drivers license, in Vegas and Orlando for the 3 cars we had :)

Looking to book direct with dollar.co.uk for a prepaid voucher with fuel, works out £169 for 1 week for a dodge avenger (ch3000 has same deal but for £172, not sure who the renter is though..)
However, i see a deal on CH3000 for a Chrysler 300c with fuel for £214 for 1 week, tempting to book as thats a good deal, but as i dont know who the rental firm is, looking to avoid that 'security deposit BS' that alamo or budget or whoever the renter is that might take $$$ when its not needed when booking the full package :)
    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !

    Bit of research done....
The deal for this Chrysler 300c which shows Airport for 1 week at £214, turns out to be Swenson str, which is just off the airport.....
Also shows its a Dollar Rental, ironically, the reviews about this place are bad!! :(
And out of the Dollar rental places in Vegas, this appears to the be cheaper one... strange as i thought all places would be the same rate ?!! hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Donny and Marie brought their show to the UK a few weeks ago (O2 MEN etc) and Marie was a huge surprise to a lot of people .......she got better reviews than Donny in many cases.

We're having a weekend off-strip staying at the M resort so plan to do that then along with Green Valley Ranch and a BBQ restaurant thats not long opened in Henderson (will do Primm and Hoover Dam whilst down that end too).

Thanks as always to you guys, this will be our fourth trip in 3 years (inc getting married in 2011 in LV) and I definitely couldn't have done it all as well as we have done without your regular tips and suggestions. Roll on July!!!
We love M resort. Always spend Friday and Saturday evenings there to avoid the strip crowds. The buffet is top notch, cheap, and wine/beer/cappuccino is included in the price. If you do the seafood buffet on the weekends it includes unlimited Champagne as well. The only problem we find is that the cocktail waitresses are thin on the ground, but all you have to do is go to the centre bar and beers are $2/$3 and cocktails are $5/$6 so not worth waitress chasing
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

How do you find the queues at M buffet? We went on a previous visit and ended up leaving because the queues were hideous - wont matter too much this time as we are staying there but wandered if there's a best/better time to go. We are there Thurs/Fri/Sat before moving on to the Four Seasons

More or less did this in october, priceline flagstaff we got Little America for $59,go through total rewards if your a member for laughlin you are almost guaranteed to get comped during the week and get a good weekend rate.Easy drive to the Grand canyon from flagstaff as well

Looking at Priceline and Hotwire for hotels. What was Little America like? Do you remember anything about how you bidded, ie was it just 'Flagstaff' and was it 3*. I've only looked on the Express deals section, not yet tried any bidding. Need to have flights booked before we bid for anything. How many nights did you do in each place, and how did you find it? Also now off to log into Total Rewards to see what we can get in Laughlin....might be tempted by 2 nights if free/v cheap. Will be midweek. Arrive Pheonix Saturday, so will def be midweek as we travel across to Vegas - Weekend will be spent in Vegas (unfortunately more expensive for hotels) but it's just the way it works in.

Sorry I missed your post. You should have sent me a PM!

Probably the same as you did. I looked at the available seating on TM, chose the seats I wanted, which I think are Table 22 Seats 1 & 6, then called the box office and asked if I could book the TZ offer with them. We had 2 dates in mind and chose the date with the best seats available.

We had Table 28 the last 2 times we have gone and they were great seats, but these ones are even closer.

Hope you enjoy the show. When do you go?
  • Looking into renting a car for 3 weeks from LA......On rentalcars.com its £455...........on ebookers its £360 and on alamo brits its £401....I know retal cars include all insurances and I have been trying to get them to match the lower quote from ebookers but am not having ant luck....they keep saying its still being looked at.
If I rent through ebookers which is ALAMO does it include all the insurance cover we need including the excess thing and also does ALAMO brits include everything.

Could do with some good advice
    Thanks
