  • Meep! It has been one hell of a day at work! I am glad, on days like today, that I have a stash on lovely products to use. I'm going to have a long hot shower, wash my hair, cleanse my face, and pamper myself with a lovely relaxing body cream or oil tonight. I work hard, and have realised how important it is to look after yourself! Tired, aching and ready to fall in to bed already!
  • Still going strong with compiling my list, currently up to 364! I've had learned several things along the way....im a hoarder, I get easily bored, I'm a retailers dream shopper (love offers!), I buy toiletries to make me feel better (like that really works), i have toiletries everywhere & finally if I can't lay my hands on it straight away I go buy another!

Don't think I need another shower gel, lipstick, mascara or body lotion until I'm 80 odd. Hoping for no INs for a while, got to get this mound down & then I'll finally be able to see why my house feels so cluttered!

Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

A very long day at work, so glad it's over :) Now relaxing with a glass of wine : D
Re the S&G I think I first reported the fans cream going off about 3 yrs ago. I do agree that in my experience it does tend to be the hand cream that goes off. But its horrible so use up this asap as it goes off even when unopened. I gave also got fed up of the scent having initially got sucked into theS&G hype on the old Boots grabbit board.

  • One UU:

Body shop cocoa butter body wash 60ml

I like the rich lather on this, and the scent is nothing dramatic but nice enough. WIBA? Probably if on a good offer, but I have a full size in the stash still to use, so that may change ;)

I opened a BS jolly orange body scrub today and was shocked at the price on top. I cannot believe I paid £6 for the scrub in the sale, or that it was £12 originally! When did BS get so expensive?

Several other things are cut open/on their way but not sure if I'll have any more UU before the end of the month.

Woohoo, someone with a list slightly bigger than mine! Finally!

For me, putting everything in one place was a big eye opener. I go through the box probably twice a week, either to pull something out to use or to line up what's going to be used next. It keeps a lot of products in the front of my mind. The sheer value of my stash is extraordinary and one day, when I have nothing else to do, I will work out the value of what's left still to use to think of it as a bank account.

15 count face wipes from Balea. Have roughly a 90 more from this company in the stash, so I will be using again. Honestly, the only face wipes I will never buy again are the Olay ones, nasty smell!

It's so cold now that my feet are drying out. So they are being slathered in cream nightly. Today's high was -13C but the windchill took it down to feeling like -24. It sucks the moisture out of you

When I cleared out my mum's house after she died last year one of the depressing things was seeing all the cheap products in the bathroom and all the luxury products in her cupboard. She'd been saving them for when she retired and would have more time to pamper herself and socialise. Since seeing that I have changed the way I look at these things as I used to do the same.

My father in law passed away last year, 64, didn't make it to his pension. It's made me look at everything in a whole new light.

when my dad retired he was worried about how they would cope financially then mum said she had been squirreling money away and had £XXXXX K in the bank!!!he was horrified that she had kept it secret all those years and we (the children) were also very upset that the money they should have enjoyed in their later years just came to us and our kids as he died a few years after and almost his dying words before he had a massive stroke were "I have more money in my pocket than any time in my life and I cannot enjoy it"!!! I also felt bitter towards my mother as she always made us feel like a poor family yet when i think back they were both working and now I know she had the money but we lived on jumble sale clothes, had no holidays etc.I am not saying we were unhappy as mostly I had a great childhood but the thought of being poor and second class took a long time to get over.Sorry to rant on,all i really want to say is def yes topink candle:)
