Can I join in too? I have a rediculous amount of stuff and I need to start using up instead of buying more

The only things I need to buy regularly is hair dye, good conditioner and Clinique moisturising gel...it's expensive but it leaves my face lovely and soft and works wonders on my daughters eyelids where she has flakey dry skin and nothing else works.

The Body shop is my nemesis though, why do they have such good sales???

A big aim for 2013 is to UU some lipsticks! I can't fit anymore in the drawer!

my son house shares with some young doctors (although he's not one himself). They all come from other areas of the UK.

TBS shea butter scrub - WNBA did not like the oil that this left on my skin so always had to remember to use this before shower gels or I just felt horribly greasy.

I used a Ted Baker scrub and had the same problem. Will try using it before the shower gel next time and see if that helps.

thanks for staring the thread rubyeskimo! im back again. getting close to graduating a few areas, only have one shampoo and conditioner in the stash and my skincare collection is dwindlng fast! i looked at my bathroom shelf before and realised that this is the first time in a long while ive only really had one of everything on it!

I'm in.....being that I only discovered the thread at the tail end of last month!

My inventory consisted of 305 products!

I've already UU a vo5 shampoo (I counted it in my inventory but it only had one wash left in it)

I don't count toothpaste, mouthwash or shaving gel in my list as I don't stock up on these

I don't understand this short lived s&g thing......I've had stuff for yrs and its all fine (I checked over everything when doing my inventory)

My aim for the month is NO ins! Which will be difficult with the boots sale on the go and an abundance of points on my card.......oops, my aim may be pointless already as I've just remembered I'm awaiting a lush Boxing Day sale order! Ah well, no FURTHER ins!

I'm quite excited at having a good old clear out next week as I'm off work and have been promising to do this for weeks - it WILL be done. So will prob have some TA to report then.

Kiplingmonkey - so glad you mentioned the Q. Totally forgot to put my £5 in my jar for not buying the TSV. I intend to continue this for the coming year - saved up quite a bit last year doing this.

I also intend to add £1 to my jar for every UU - that gives me a grand total on day 1 of £7.

Hi everyone

I have been a longtime lurker of this thread for a couple of years now and use it as my inspiration to try and use up my extreme hoard of toiletries and makeup. I was doing quite well, until I got caught up in the beauty box phenomenon last year. I was subscribed to all the boxes at one point :eek: (although I shared them with my sister), so now I have products stashed under my bed and in boxes all over the house. I also have most of the stuff I bought in the xmas sales in 2011 still unopened under my bed. Its crazy and the amount of money I have spent would probaby pay for a really nice holiday. I am onlysubscribed to Joliebox now as it only costs £10, but will probably unsubscribe if the next box is disappointing again.

I have managed to be quite restrained in this years xmas sales and just bought a couple of box sets from lush and Boots and a few high end items from spacenk.

2013 is the year that I will start controlling my spending, get rid of my debt and use all the makeup and toiletries that I have bought over the years before they go off. I already sold a few high end makeup items on ebay in 2012, as although I really liked them I knew that I would never get around to using them. Luckily I got really good prices for the MAC and NARS products that I sold so that made me feel a little better. My aim is to use up 150 products this year (including samples).

I had a good start today with 4 UU:
dr organic virgin olive oil bio balm - wnba - this product came from beauty bible when I signed up to test some products. Its nice but nothing special
Freeman cucumber facial peel off mask - wnba - I think I got this from a swap I did with a canadian girl. Again it was ok, but nothing special
Snowberry Night cream sample - wnba - this smelled bad, I think it had gone off although I havent had it ages. It came from a beauty box.
loreal elvive triple resist conditioner - wmba - its cheap and does the job but nothing special.

All my targets for 2013 are in my signature and I hope to update my progress on use ups regularly.

I hope everyone has a great 2013. Sorry for the long initial post.
