No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2013

I'd like to be in as well please. Found this challenge such a help last year or so and it has really helped me control my spending on unnecessaries. Ive still got some excesses stored away that need using up and my motivation is to become a challenge graduate! I will do an inventory at some point, but i already know that its bath and shower stuff that ineed to use up!

I did get a late prezzie from best friend - Womanity gift set with body lotion. Smells lovely. Never had a bottle of that before but sniffed it on others and did like it.

Hi everyone.

I've been lurking on these threads for the last while and decided to sign up to the challenge this year as the number of toiletries in the bathroom is getting ridiculous.

Did a count of 112, I don't wear make up (so there is no make up, nail varnish etc in the count, which is probably a good thing and doesn't make the stash any bigger, but there are a ridiculous number of shampoos, deodorants, conditioners, facial cleansers in the list. I even counted 6 tubes of toothpaste, so they are counted as part of the stash.

I'm hoping not to have to buy anything for the next 6 months at least and will only replace an item when there are no more of that one left.

I did get a few toiletry sets for Christmas and got a Boots voucher (already spent) so that added to it.

Happy New Year from the colonies.

Tossed out the mascara (Boots No 7 in brown black) WNBA just didn't like it. Got around a dozen in the stash to pick from, mainly gwp size.

Wound up bringing home 2 bottles of nailpolish from the sales yesterday but, they were tropical colours and we are off on vacation on Thursday.

So for the new year, I really only need to buy nail polish remover in a while. The only ins should be the boxes. I'm cancelling Topbox after the January box, they've been really bad for the last couple of months and Glossy will probably go in the spring. The only other lot of ins should be the Dior box I bought for charity. That I admit I am looking forward to and have no idea of what they will send.

Remember we are wise women and have recognized our addictions by being here.

Fiasco, hopefully you are chuckling too now and thank you for the lovely comment on the Dec. thread. I really, really appreciated that.

Will probably have my first 2013 UU tomorrow - I cut open the Avon Foot Works Berry & Vanilla foot cream today. It never ceases to amaze me how you can squeeze and mangle a tube until it is apparently empty, get the scissors out and find loads left in the cut open tube.

Off topic, I had a wonderful New Year's Eve. I went over to a friend's place - the whole family is musical and musician friends had joined them too, so the whole evening was a music session, with wonderful food, drink and great company.

I took over my contributions to the drink, couldn't drink much myself but the plus side was no hangover. Even better, I have another good friend, a real music-lover, who asked if she could join me, she usually spends all Christmas and New Year playing taxi for her (adult) children.

Her youngest is 19 next month, she finally decided that as he had made his own plans, she would have a good time herself. I hope this trend continues.
It was a lovely sunny morning here, what a positive start to the year.
