Evening all!

Wishing everyone an enjoyable New Year's Eve/Hogmanay, however we choose to spend it. And everything ionafan said for 2013.

Utility room now decluttered and cleaned, clean washing all put away. Still have a few unhomed things so i'll find a place for them. 4 more loads of washing to do and thats the basket empty.

DS3 about to go to bed, fingers crossed he goes to sleep. He been up as late as 2am some nights just refusing to sleep. :eek:

Right i better move.....

Hi there, been looking at fly lady threads, is there nothing on a sat or sun or am I missing something? I really need to start getting ready to go out, but just cannot be bothere, dont like NYE at all.....x

Bonnie and Ionafan - I hope you both feel better really soon, there are so many bugs lasting so long this year, it must be one of the worst for cold/cough/nose/chest/throat type infections.

'Newbie Here' - the best advice I can give you is to spend 10 minutes or so 'putting the house to bed' at night. We always clear away dishes, rubbish, newspapers etc, plump cushions, wipe kitchen surfaces, stack DW, put ready any coats, bags, paperwork etc if out first thing in the morning, and just generally have a quick tidy, and it's invaluable. It's nice to get up to a tidy house in the morning and seems to make it easier to keep it straight in the morning!

You need to reinforce your bubble. Line it with non-shatter, non-get-throughable perspex type stuff. Then they can't get to you and you can't hear anything lol.

No lists posted at the weekend; you can catch up on the week's lists or do as you please I don't like NYE either, always find it a let down (apart from the year when I was 15 and climbed a tree to find the gorgeous bloke in the orange jumper... happy days...)

Forgot to add in again (was in my disappearing post) thank you again to my Secret Santa as my first magazine arrived today and is a perfect choice for me - Easy Living. Will be sitting down later with my glass of bubbly and my mag to read xx
