I phoned them and it is a computer glitch. One weeks today and one week next week, then back to normal. It has affected many claimants.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Major computer glitch.
Affected many. Basically you may have been paid weekly by mistake and then you'll go back to fortnightly.
So in theory. £142 -2 weeks - £142 -2weeks- £71 - 1week- £71- 1week- £142 and then £142.
The amount of people though who'll see the £71 and not even question it , is comical. Then payday comes and £71 gets paid, PANIC STATIONS!0 -
You want an apology for being paid early?
Wasn't that irrelevant sentence a minute of your life you'll never get back and a total waste of sarcasm?? It isn't about an apology. It's about their attitude and total lack of customer service skills. Maybe next time wait until you have something relevant to say0 -
Ok..really confused..not due ESA till the 11th but have a payment for 119 gone in on the 4th? I take it they've paid half then?
EDIT: ahh ok it's a glitch...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Glad this thread was here, I saw it and thought they were ending my ESA without telling me and that was my final payment for only 1 of the weeks. Cue panic stations on a saturday night.
Doesn't effect my budgeting, just confused me greatly.0 -
Hi, checked my bank account with online banking and just seen I've been paid half like everybody else..BUT
My question is, we got half on the 2nd, we get half on the 9th but when do we get paid next after that? Will it be the 16th?
Really grateful to anybody who can help:o0 -

you usually get paid on the every 2 weeks? so one week was the 'glitch' the 9th is the usual payment date, so 2 weeks after that0 -

Did anyone get their second half of payment yet?
Likewise, I received half on 2nd Jan (my usual payment was meant to be 9th) - but I didn't get the second half yesterday, even checked today, still nothing?
Thanks0 -
Didn't see this thread or I wouldn't have started one of my own. My husband is due his 2 weeks ESA on tue (15th) but got one weeks payment in the bank today, tried for 3 hours to get through to ESA but just kept getting cut off after being on hold for 20 mins or so.
Now going to wait till Tues to see if the other weeks money goes in, if not he will ring them again.
I have had trouble for the last 6 pay cycles and have not had my money go in the bank, I've had to phone every time and they make a faster payment and it goes in the the afternoon, they say it's a glitch in their system, then I got a letter last week saying they are pleased to inform me that my application for ESA has been successful and my first payment will be on the 17th jan, yet I've been receiving it since April last year!
I think the DWP are going into melt down.0
