I re applied for ESA on 18 Oct, got a fortnight & a few days payment & have not received any payments since. I have had a DLA payment go in & thought that was it, got my bank statement & realised on saturday I am owed about 8 weeks. At least you got money.0

By the way my DLA, is some 3-7 days early.0

i fought for 18 months to get my medical evidence looked at properly and my atos medical looked at again as it was recorded and the recording and paperwork contradict each other the atos worker lies all the way through the paperwork so im hoping that this isnt a sign of it all getting messed up again id rather wait for the normal day to get the correct ESA payment!0

Precisely. They have trouble getting ESA or DLA right. Mind you I should not complain - so far mine has been correct.0 -
exactly!! in the end i had two mp`s a tome of medical evidence all my records etc off them i won an appeal to have it overturned again by someone who didnt actually have the jurisdiction to do that! so it stuffed everything up again!! if that was someone doing a job in say an office for a private company they would surely have got the sack for the incompetence0

My partner just rang the esa line and the payment i recived is a weeks payment early and i am expected to recive another weeks payment on my normal pay date so instead of getting my normal ammount of money for the 2 weeks they have paid it weekly instead for some odd reason :S but they told my partner on the phone that its a weeks payment now and then another one next week on my original payment date hope this helps0

I am surprised that they were able to sign into their computer system and overturn it like that. I know back in the day when I worked in main gov't - you had differing levels of authority and could only do certain tasks. Not saying I ever made many mistakes, but I made far less than the idiot who was acting up to next grade who said on lots of occasions that he did not ever make any. My line manager back then, asked him if he was God as he was so perfect, then said no you must be even better than God as he makes lots of mistakes. I was on flexi leave that day, so missed it all. He kept telling my line manager that there was no way I could understand a manufacturing contract and all the terminology as I was just a girl and they did not know about such stuff. I got so good at it, that everyone in the office used to come to me for advice on how to word the submissions to our underwriters. Even the underwriters used to word it how I said. All my customers were very happy with me. But then I had been in Tax prior to that and that is very complex indeed.0 -

This should be correct for almost everyone.
Just came back from my local Job Centre, here's the info:
For some reason which even the job centre staff couldn't explain, people are being paid one weeks worth of money a week or so early. You WILL get the second weeks worth on your usual payment date. For me that would be the 8th as I believe it is for most people with this problem.
The Job Centre had just received an email informing them this would be the case for everyone on JSA. However seeing as I'm on ESA they telephoned someone with a little more knowledge. It would seem that many people on ESA and possibly some other benefits will be receiving this early payment too.
This is NOT an extra payment and it does not mean there is anything wrong. In the highly unlikely event that there is some issue on your regular payment date, phone or visit your local Job Centre Plus.
So... I'm not going to touch it until the 8th when the second amount comes in!0
