It will be very interesteng to follow which of the main parties he will get his voters from, maybe his party will be able to avoid the result being another close call.
Yes - will any of us take a punt on Ukip winning first seat in GE? Maybe Nadine Dorries seat lol...
Worst scenario for Cons would be that he takes votes from them AND Lib Dems ..might even take a couple from Labour too0 -
You may have done but many of us did not!
Bob I didn't either but if we take 'we' as the nation then yes we did!
For me its the elephant in the room, no one seems to mention personal debt yet how can we expect a consumer led recovery with the debt hanging around 'our' necks?
We need to live within our means which means more stores closing and more pain. It's very similar to whats happening via cuts no one wants the cuts but 'we' can't afford to spend more than we earn.0 -
Oh Howeee... come on... youre now in the minority to think so! The next story up this week is how the Conservatives have hugely increased the Nationhal Debt! Top figures are saying that Cameron thinks the voters too stupid to know this! I will be posting the link later... before you ask!:) The Deficit is growing!! Good old media eh? keeping it under wraps so as not to scare the pensioners. The truth must out though
Oh blow it, I'll do it now, probs could do with a thread of its own - it's going to be a huge subject!0 -

Unfortunately it's voters like you who follow 'Ed and the magic tree' who will put the country right back in the mire again. The deficit correct me if I am wrong was £158billion so I look forward to seeing what you find later. Too many like you see the last 2yrs as bad as we have no growth but this was always going to be the case it will take years 10yrs+ before we get straight. This is no normal recession Mr Consumer cannot ride to the rescue. We know what Balls would have done DOH!! At least the current gov have a plan which does not involve borrow borrow borrow spend spend bust.0 -
i haven't read this thread, so apologies if it has already been said - I will never vote tory again because of their imbeclic child benefit fraud. If they had made it so that families earning over 98K lost it, that would be fine. If they had made it so it was only for 2 kids max that would have been fine. If they had said, you lose it when the child reaches 12, that would have been fine. However, what they did was just so spiteful and idiotic, I will never vote for them again. All in it together???? Not if your household earns 98k split between two. But yes, if one person earns 60k alone. Disgraceful.
I am looking forward (not) to the next liblab govt. Although Lab/ukip would be far more exciting.0 -

Is this not the problem?
We all know cuts are needed but when its cuts which effect us its a different matter.
We deserve more pain for being so dumb0 -

He will probably pick up votes from those whose intentions are to abstain, which I cannot see is a sensible move anyway, irresposible is the word in my book.0 -

With respect howee I do not think that there are as many 'dumb' people out there as you believe there to be. (I may have misread your point.)
That is like having the same attitude as George Osborne has, looking down on too many people and not giving them the respect that they deserve, and I do not put you in that class.0 -

Unfortunately that is incorrect and there will be a big debate this week in the news about how the deficii tis rising because Osbornes plan didnt work, he is getting desperate and has called Carney in to help get UK back in game - here is the link to the rising deficit article - it is a huge topic which needs a thread of its own

Just quiet on the news front. Same old garbage gets discussed. 2 years is a long time yet. Given the problems that are faced not just in the UK but elsewhere around the world.0
