Hope you didn't starve in order to lose these 4 kgs! Because starvation is not a permanent solution!

Not at all.. I hate being hungry!! I've just reduced my portions a bit and stopped all the crap (cookies, sweets, chocolate, etc...which "naturally grow" in my office entrance desk!!).

Also do spinning 3 times a week, and I do know that I need to continue eating/excercising like this if I want to mantain my weight, which I intend to do.

Hi, I used to see a colonic hydrotherapist called Lisa Manley in South London, she has moved back to Ireland where she is from

    http://www.cleansewithin.ie/your-therapist.html

She was previously a nurse and told me that she helped more people with their health problems through colonics than she did through the nhs.

She told me that hospitals used to administer colonic hydrotherapy years ago, until the big pharma companies took over with their supposed miracle pills and potions.

It wasn't pleasant for me the first time, but I got used to it subsequently, there is a consultation beforehand and you talk about your health issues, diet and lifestyle and the therapist makes suggestions.

It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

After, the therapist may try to sell some probiotics but you can buy these yourself elsewhere.

I used to spend around 70 on a colonic but I only had them maybe twice a year, and haven't had one for a few years.

I believe that colonics helped me to give up smoking and helped me lose the last half stone that wouldn't shift. It didn't happen overnight, maybe over 6 months or so.

It's not for everyone but I have an open mind to alternative therapies.

But this isn't a substitute for healthy eating and exercise, it is an accompaniment and not one to be over-used.

I eat Bran flakes for a reason. It gives me good fiber because I have difficulties going to the toilet due to meds I'm taking. I don't intend to stop eating them.

Also, I can't believe how there are so many diets & exercise regimes there are. I never ever needed to control my eating or visit the gym. I was never able to eat just anything, however, all the info becomes rather confusing to be honest. I feel like I am defying the laws of diet & exercise.

As for eating little & often..I read that this is the best way not only to diet but to keep your body healthy. By eating 3 meals a day, it takes longer for the body to process the food. Also, humans are naturally grazes, so it make pure sense that eating little & often is a great way.
  • Eat brown rice and oat bran instead of bran flakes - they're deceptively sugary! I agree all the info is confusing. I do semi-paleo and no white carbs, and along with a strength training program it's helping me.

Hi the devil made me do it, it's probably the meds that are making you overweight as well - if you are overweight, maybe you're just right for your height and build?? We need pics ;)

I agree with eating little and often as well.
  • Signed up to myfittnesspal and have been very honest about what I've eaten and the exercise I have done today & I'm actually not eating enough calories.

If something is minus, does this mean you have had too much of something...ie: if protein amount is showing as minus.

My OH is doing this fittness pal & his protein result is coming out as a minus result.

All calories are not equal and are not all burned at the same rate, thanks to some wonderful little substances in our bodies called HORMONES!!!

So it's not just as simple as "eat less, move more" otherwise it would be dead easy to lose and maintain weight *rolleyes*

The absolute truth is: if you burn more than you eat, you finally loss weight .. nothing's more complicated.

but, to burn more and eat less .. it's really hard to control your mind ... so the root cause solution is "practicing your mind" :|
