In desperate need of advice regarding weight loss.

A stone is fantastic and you must have gained muscle as well through exercising.
Your waist is smaller then if you need a new belt?
Taking 7 months to lose it may seem like a long time but when people lose weight quickly it's mostly water loss and then they run the risk of putting the weight back on just as fast. When you lose it slowly it's more sensible and less likely you will put it back on as you are instilling good habits and routines into your life.
I've got a theory that when we change our diet / lifestyle, our bodies can seem to go through some negative changes (dry skin, hair falling out, negative emotions) but it's part of the chrysalis becoming a butterfly, the outer layer sheds to reveal the more beautiful new us (of course I could be completely wrong so if you're worried about your skin, and drinking enough water and eating enough good fats maybe see a doc).0 -

If your skin is suffering perhaps you're not getting the right nutrients and/or drinking sufficient water. Would posting a food diary help?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Porridge with water
Yum! Same here. Porridge made with water and a pinch of salt, - using the real thing - none of this two minutes processed junk. sweetened with honey (honey has great body repair qualities, unlike white sugar) on top and some milk, once it has set a little.
Tinned tomatoes and poached eggs on wholemeal toast are a nice way to start the day on the weekend.
For dinner or lunch how about trying lentil soup? Tasty and filling, and full of protein. It keeps quite well too:

I found green tea quite good for losing weight. Possibly because it's a drink that doesn't need milk or sweeteners to be palatable.0 -

I was inputting my food & exercise into myfitnesspal. However, it was saying I should lose a certain amount of weight based on what I was eating and my exercise. Unfortunatly, I never lost a thing, so quit doing that.
Got on the scales this morning & I've put 3lbs on. Totally fed up. Just don't know what I'm doing wrong and it's starting to get me down. The only thing I can think of that's changed is I started back at the gym.0 -
My Fitness Pal bases itself on calorie counting which is not something I agree with. Not all calories are equal. If you're eating x amount of calories of the wrong food then you won't see any fat loss. I also don't agree with the terms "weight loss" or "diet" either. Your aim isn't to lose weight, it's to lose FAT.
If you post up examples of your daily intake of food and we can see where you're going wrong.
The only time I ever use MFP is to work out the macros contained in the recipes I create myself.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
