Hey, where's our leader? Hope you're okay kat!
  • IT's BEEN SNOWING FOR HOURS AND HOURS!!!!

Good Day to you all! As I write the tabby is stretched over the radiator with a paw draped down between the gap.. albeit I just took her outside tucked inside my coat to experience the snow PROPERLY and she wasn't best pleased...

SO I had to cancel the overtime today. There was no way I wanted to get to work and get stuck there. Even if I did get there I would have had to leave the bike there and wouldn't have wanted to risk it...

Yesterday and today will be NSD's.. but there is a very sore temptation to get into town and investigate HMV's massive sale... Good thing the trains are cancelled in favour of replacement buses. So I am not that eager after all.

Kerfuffle I want one of those bags!!!!..what colour did you get?...I Will Win how did you manage 18 NSD's in a row??

I hope you are all aware of the GREAT few TV programs coming up on Monday... Channel 4 @ 8pm... Dispatches ; The Secrets of your Supermarket Shopping....More 4 will be fighting wtih Superscrimpers also on at 8pm...Personally I will be watching Dispatches. They are my super bugbear and I wanna know what they are up too! :T

SO I guess I have to sort out my room a little. Moving in a few months makes me realise I should get rid of what could easily be sold...

YORKSHIRELASS - great to have you stop by! This month is too far gone for you to benefit fully from my wrath ( kidding ) but stay with us, lurk, post and get a good idea of how we run and join with bells on for next month. Loving the determination though!!! :j

Abundant I like how you did the virtual shop. I sometimes wish I could do it like that all the time but they don't advertise yellow sticker products online...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.. SO I got two loaves of bread last week for 18p each. I refuse to pay over 50p for a loaf now. If its not reduced I don't buy it....Now thats called being a SCROOGE!!..and I am so proud of myself! :T..And don't you worry about February just yet!!

Right I have to eat and back track a few pages and see what my chickadees have been up too..:p:p:p

Sometimes you just have to love yourself!!

Question - how does everyone store / keep track of vouchers. When looking in the pocket of a purse (I have moved to a coin purse whilst spending frugally) I came across a £3.50 voucher for Tesco. When tidying a flylady "hotspot" I came across a voucher for the same store for £4. Clearly I have been careless in the past but I wondered how everyone tracks what they have?

dont you just, because sometimes there is no one else. :)

i keep track of my vouchers by putting them in my purse of paperclipping to my diary.
    Hi All,

Stayed in today where it's warm and had a total chill out which has been great and much needed!!!

Following on from NSK's healthier eating regime I did a 'virtual' shop online

if you dont mind me asking which part in somerset do you live? i grew up 6 miles south of bath and then i moved to the mendips (oooarrrrr me luvvveeerrrr heart land lol)

i do virtual shops too of my fav websites and scare myself with the cost of what it would cost to have what i wanted.

Well I won't shout at you if you don't shout at me. I had a moment of weakness and ordered a satchel from a company in Cambridge. I saw a link, lusted over a new bag for all of one week, justified it to myself that I would pay for it with Christmas money received and Birthday money yet to receive ;), and ordered it. Now I'm constantly tracking it whilst it makes it way to me. The anticipation is killing me :)

ooo so fashionable, love it, must be the one form the adverts? which colour!!!

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hasn't stopped snowing today! NSD yesterday - didn't set a foot outside. Made an inventory of all the food in the house, including the freezer and have planned menus to use everything up. Went to supermarket today to buy a few things to help me to do this. Want to spend as little as possible on food this month.

Staying in because of the weather saves money and makes me realise that we can entertain ourselves frugally - we've cetainly got enough music, DVDs, books, games etc to keep us busy (not to mention housework....).

Don't want to go to work tomorrow! :)

OK i'm up to £137.40 so far...

£30 of Amazon vouchers on the way to me... I have a load of books to get for uni this next few weeks so they'll be useful...

I have another NSD to log, and will be able to claim a £10 voucher from Consumer pulse tomorrow which I will put with my others for some work clobber...

    has a NSD yesterday too...

I even saved myself the taxi fare home from the shops on Friday, as there were none so I struggled home in the snow.... It was quite a laugh actually - but I wish I hadn't bought milk!!!!!
