Hi all just a quick check in. Suceeded in my no spend weekend, just need to carry on into the week now :j Did have quite a nice weekend though, walks with the kids and dogs, lunch (for free:D) at my mums and today I treated us to the fire on all afternoon and eve with coal left over from xmas. So quite a nice MSE weekend actually, only downside was my tumble dryer breaking, well the bearings went but my dad broke the whole thing by trying to mend it but then shorting out the heating element (with a dramatic bang and smoke) once we started it up again. So its kaput now
and not likely to be replaced soon looking at the cost of them. Ah well look on the bright side, should save on the electric bill :rotfl:Hope everyones having a nice relaxing evening before the monday morning onslaught!

Oh, would you share the recipe for these? They sound yummy.
NSD on Friday (although will have to check if I added this to my totals yet . . . )
Yesterday I had one of my planned social things: met a friend in London, lunch and then The Rain Room at the Barbican. Lunch wasn't super expensive (£8.75) and the exhibit was free. Although required 4 hours of queuing  That was OK though, we just spent 4 hours nattering sat on the foyer floor so it was fine :rotfl:
NSD today too, although lovely BF treated me to pub Sunday Lunch. And my eBay sales have come in: £94.80 before postage and fees.
Fingers crossed for lots of snow tonight so I didn't have to go to work!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Hi everyone, not a nsd for me today, I got a few bargains from work, LF milk, cereal, tin of soup, tin of custard, bread and sprinkle seeds and only just over £2 spent:)
Still snowy here but at leasts its all gritted now and after a nightmare of walking half way home (just think of the exercise - breath) I can use the car again:) Hope it doesnt snow too much in the night as Im at work for 6am tomorrow, but at least I have left the car at the bottom of the hill near a mainish road, so I should be OK
Anyway off to bed, just put breakfast up - well rice and tuna:rotfl:but I dont have it until 10.30 and it fills me more than cereal, thanks for the program info tomoz I will be watching it sounds interesting.
Nitey nite

Oooops I have been AWOL a while mostly due to man flu which lasted 27 days
 But i now feel almost raring to go......
I have to admit i have been sales shoppingbut in my defence there is nothing that isnt going to be used or wasnt needed....
We bought lots of nice warm clothing from an outlet store 70% off and i was glad as the day after i bought my nice new long winter coat it was -10 for 2 days along with lots of snowSo we did really think about what we bought and what it was going to be used for, we dont have the heating on here often and so warm clothes help
along with a windproof jacket for walking in... Oh and the Boots 75% off sale gets me everytime but its all for birthdays, mothersday etc throughout the year so an overall saving and some xmas pressies for next year which i put away with the xmas tree in the loft so i dont forget about them.
Had a chat with OH - we dont usually talk cashbut hes on board with paying stuff off - he doesnt really spend anything from the bank just his tip money usually on me going to weatherspoons :rotfl:
Just one problem this year is that we have flights booked to Texas in March - which in my defence were booked in July last year before NSK came along and saved us all :T
I have to pay for a new passport for DS £72.50  as well as book the hotels, i am using cashback sites of course and as i book my sisters rooms too i get double cash backso hoping to get £200 - £300 back and we have most of the spending money saved now - expect some £2 coins back in circulation soon :rotfl:
so some damage limitation... and it is our DS last holiday unless he pays himself - but he did ask for $$$ for his xmas and birthday and from some work he did in summer so hes got a fair bit of spends saved for himself for a change. and is talking of getting a job now hes 16 in a couple of weeks :j
Enough of my ramblings glad to see people doing ok despite the weather I have read even if i havent posted..
Happy Monday Everybody - its supposed to be the worst monday of the year tomorrow (blue monday) so have a Happy Day instead everyone..
Onewards and upwards and looking forward to NSKs feb challengeUpdating .................................................

Question for you all;.. my kindle "direction" keys have frozen. What do I do...? Without sending it back to Amazon..?.. I trust you lot sooner than Google... ha ha!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. I tried to change the recipe and it all went Pete Tong. Tonight though adding apple slices seemed to work and nuts on top. And I left them in for a few minutes longer than 15 minutes... I have frozen them aswell.. One a day mid morning with an apple and a mint tea. Sorted!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Sorry to disappoint, all those lovely colours to choose from and I chose black, although I am living it large as I'm having my initials on there too
It's going to be for work so I'm going for the professional look
