Quick hello and goodnight from me, had 2 more NSD's sat and sun AND finally listed on ebay which was a PITA but hopefully will get the bug if I get watchers.
What is it about organising? I shredded two bags of nonsense paperwork today and found an unused boxfile which is now adorned with decoupaged receipts, glitter and a stencilled sign with 'DEBTS' on it. Inside is my CC statements and loan stuff to keep me on track.
Packed lunch in fridge and four portions of soup, fish pie and beef casserole in freezer.

    night peeps stay warm x

Saw some tumble driers on sale in Asda today - some good prices if that helps at all?!?!?!

Thanks will have a look! The nearest Asda (well any large supermarket) is an hr away so will have to wait until I need a big shop before I go but will have a look next time i'm in. :money:

  • Morning all!

Forgive me mser's for I have sinned. Not a major confession but a confession none the less!

So had a successful shop at Mr A's on Saturday to go with this weeks meal plan. Had a take away on Saturday night which came in a £8.00 less that what I budgeted for it. The yesterday it all went booby up.

Went out for a 'play' in the snow with the family and on the way home I smelt roast dinner.

Got home and thought about roast dinner.

Got in the bath to thaw out and couldn't stop thinking about roast dinner.

Got out the bath and got dressed, drooling over the thought of a roast dinner.

Dried my hair and gave in to the fact I needed a roast. Got dressed and braved the walk to the nearest supermarket, the co-op (rip off!!). Spent £12.00 on roast dinner goodies. And it was goodies. We got an expensive desert and fresh custard (in my defence the custard way YS to 35p). And it was the best roast I think I've ever had.

I know it was a food spend and not a 'Silly' spend. We've got meat and potatoes and veg left so will get another 1, possibly 2 dinners out of it. I'm just disappointed at myself because it's not something that I NEEDED it's something that I WANTED. Still, it's the first time it's happened this month (20 Days!!). And minimal damage, could have been a lot lot worse. But still, little bit annoyed with myself for doing it when we had a cupboard full of food.

Anyway, onwards an upwards. Happy Blue Monday :D

Hope everyone is safe and warm!
  • Ah Mayfair, I did the same thing a couple of weeks back but with steak pies glaring at me from the butchers shop window. Cost me £6 for the pies plus peas and chips I had in at home, it was an expensive meal and only did one meal. Grrrr!

Soooooooooo it would appear I have been WAYYYYYYYYY too much for my buildings and contents insurance, for complicated reasons (from when I lived in a leasehold property) I have had seperate policies, and whenever I have looked in the past about combining them they were always complications..........BUT I have now managed to combine them and the premiums have dropped from £82 to £30........V V HAPPY!

So glad it's not just me. My will power just dissolved :(

And apparently it hasn't come back. A cafe run happened this morning and instead of saying no I got something. Please someone give me some stern words and snap me out of it!!

In the lead up to the story I thought you were going to say you went for a carvery dinner, now that could have been an :mad: moment and qualify for buyer's remorse. However to go and buy all the ingredients and supplies to be able to prepare a quality, nutritional meal is not sinning, and by the time you've got other meals out of the leftovers it will probably have been fairly inexpensive compared to the alternative. My child on this occasion you have not sinned :A, (in my opinion ;).)

Okay, well now getting something on the coffee run is a definite no-no

And it was all going so well :rotfl::rotfl:

I'll consider myself a minor sinner. And that'll teach me for bringing change to work. NO MORE! (and there's my rule, if it's in caps, it has to happen.)
