we have not booked with the sun for a few years now but would like to this year but we would have to take our dog. How do you know if you can take dogs or not??0

The T&C's say:
Pets are NOT permitted for bookings at any of the parks in this offer. If your park and specific holiday home is able to accept pets this will be shown on your confirmation and payment for pets should be made direct to your holiday park.
Has anyone managed to take their doggy with them on one of these hols? The last time we went we didn't have our 4 legged friend..but now i couldn't imagine taking a holiday without her! :embarasse0 -

haha-we must have been thinking the same thing at the same time!0 -
There is a site called Le Chene Gris which is ideal for doing Disney but not really when relying on public transport
there is a train station opposite the site ( not noisy) but not many trains and don't think a direct one to Disney ?
French roads /motorways are so much better than ours and it's an easy straightforward drive
we have stayed @ Le Chene Gris once and La Croix Du Vieux Pont about 4 times
Hi
We're hopefully going to book La Croix du Vieux Pont for a stay in the spring - do you have any tips on the site or anything nearby? It's just me and my partner (no kids - though we do intend on visiting Disney!) and we're driving over.0 -

Yes, it is possible to take pets if you check the site you are staying at. I took my pedigree kitten last time, but it is expensive. It varies between £30 to £50 I think. You have to phone the park with your booking reference after you have booked the holiday and the pet is added as an 'extra'.0 -
I am deffo going to do this, atm I can not decide wether to go for isle of White or Butlins. Kiddies are 4 and 1 so trying to decide what is best. With the passes at Butlins can someone confirm if we actually need them or not? Will we still get in the swimming pool etc with out them?
Good luck everyone and Thank you to all posters xx0 -

Thanks Tatty. I'll have a proper look into it then; even with the extra, its still a lot cheaper than any other holiday option we have this year i reckon. How cute that you took your kitten; were you not worried about any scratching incidents?0 -

Hi we have taken our dog with us! I think only Haven sites accept dogs (except 2 sites Burnham-on-Sea and Riviere Sands) We added on our dog when we rang up to pay our services charges it costs £20 per dog!!!

it's a lovely site with plenty to do
to be honest as our trips / stays there have been mainly to "do Disney" we haven't ventured very far from the site and enjoyed just chilling on the days we weren't @ Disney
The pools are good and there's a lake for fishing / pedalo's / kayaks etc
we did visit Pierrefonds castle where Merlin was filmed
and many people recommend eating @ Chez Michelin in Berny Riviere but we have never made it yet !
we tend to cook ourselves or eat in the onsite restaurant0 -
