As far as I know, it's never possible to upgrade to a caravan with heating in the bedrooms with the Sun holidays. The max. upgrade you can get with the Sun is Standard, Standard Plus, Superior and Deluxe. Stayed in all of them and none of these have bedroom heating (only the Deluxe Plus, Prestige and Platinum have bedroom heating and you can't upgrade to these with Sun holidays from my experience).

We just take a small fan heater with us ;)

Maybe I've just been lucky sometimes then. It might be worth asking if you call to upgrade. I would want heating if we went in December, for example.

This year we got a Sun holiday on December 14th for the christmas wonderland at Butlins and the bedrooms had heating, and our beds were made for us before we arrived. We had to leave on the Sunday night due to school and work on the Monday morning, but it was a lovely weekend, and well worth the £120-ish it cost with the Sun.
Sorry, meant to say, this was a Haven holiday.

Has anyone been to Paris and done Disneyland at the same time? My other half wont drive over there so we would need to fly... Im wondering if anyone had any tips if they had done this previously :)
Got my priority code also this morning so they are flying them out at the moment...

we stayed at Le chene Gris and did Disneyland paris. There is a train station outside but we worked out it would take about 2 hours to get to DLP by train so as we had our car we drove. There is another campsite near paris which comes up on these holidays but not sure how near to the train station that one is.

normally the park will let you upgrade when you arrive or call them in advance. I've done it plenty of times and never had a problem

Last year, we upgraded on the booking to the Deluxe. When I phoned the park direct, I was told that I couldn't upgrade further because I'd already upgraded to the highest level possible on a Sun holiday. I asked them to note on my booking that I'd be willing to upgrade on arrival ...

And we did, for the princely sum of £30 (total for 4 nights/4 people). I expected a Prestige - we got Platinum!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi,
Sorry might be a daft question but it seems to say everywhere that it is for up to 4 people we are a family of 5 me,hubby, 3 kids does this mean we won't be able to participate? Has anyone ever done one with 5 before? Is it possible?

It's minimum of 4 people (or pay the under occupancy) 5 is not a problem at all.

Today i paid for my butlins sun holiday (from the last promotion) but i asked them to take off the entertainment passes to save a few quid (ive never been asked for passes at butlins before plus the pool is having work done so may be closed). Am I right in thinking i'll still be able to use the entertainment or have butlins bought out passes since I last went?

    Got my form too
Went to butlins last year and upgraded to gold with premium dining too
Was worth the extra, pity it rained solid all the time we were there lol
Year before went to mablethorpe, haven and again upgraded and had heaters in the bedrooms
    Will do another again
Will the codes be posted again?
Who's been where in Lincolnshire and enjoyed it?
