I haven't done too badly and did manage to fit in an hour and a half long bike ride with the boys after dinner. Obviously that was complicated by the fact that one of DS1's tyres was flat so had to sort that put first
Right as there's nothing on the TV I'm going to try and scan in a few CDs for Music Magpie, probably won't get them all done but worth a try. A quick update to keep myself sane! I would love to say I have continued the week at the same impressive pace that I started it with but alas that's not really the case. That said it has been a good week.
I had my new boss out with me yesterday and we had quite a good discussion around things. One thing in particular that will hopefully be resolved now is the fact that I end up carrying the company for at least a couple of hundred pounds each month due to the fact that the prior months expenses aren't paid until the end of the following month by which time you've tacked up another month's worth! My last manager just couldn't grasp this concept but this one agreed and said it was unacceptable that I was put in that situation so he is going to look to get my float increased :j
Did manage to list my CDs on Music Magpie but haven't sent them yet so really must get that done. It's not a fortune, about £16 I think, but it gets them out of my way and its £16 I never had!
I'm a bit annoyed at an eBay buyer. Sent a brand new item to her, unopened original packaging. She has emailed saying she wants to return it as its faulty and I said that I would obviously refund her once I received the item with the packaging back. That way I can get in touch with the manufacturer and hopefully get some recompense from them for the fault. She's now gone off on one saying she won't return it as she doesn't see why she should pay to return it when it's faulty  Why do people do that? If she'd brought a new item from a shop she would take it back to the shop, she wouldn't be asking them for fuel money and car park charges in order for her to return it! She said she will see what eBay rules are, I think they say she has to return it if its faulty. She paid £4 plus postage for an item that retails at £30! It's not like I'm trying to rip her off! Oh well, these things are sent to try us!
Still haven't sorted the dog out! He's looking more lick a sheep now! Must get him sorted!

Let your ebay buyer take it to dispute. I'm pretty sure they'll side with you since you're offering to refund when she returns it (although I know they've made some odd decisions in the past, so it's never certain...). I think the only bit in doubt will be who pays the return P&P. If it's genuinely faulty they'll probably say you have to cover it.
However, it's sounding very suspicious that she doesn't want to send it back. She's probably a scammer, and hopefully she'll drop the claim when you get ebay involved.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Thanks LannieDuck. That's what I was thinking, although I could do without any bad feedback as I'm just getting started with the ebaying and its going so well. I have hers and my messages, clearly stating that I will refund her when I receive the item and packaging back. Personally I think she's tried it and didn't like it. It comes with consumable cartridges so obviously they will have been used.
I don't mind refunding it if its genuinely faulty, but I was just a bit annoyed as she almost said it was my fault it was faulty and why should she return it, yet it was clearly a brand new unopened product!MBNA [STRIKE]£2,029[/STRIKE] £1,145 Virgin [STRIKE]£8,712[/STRIKE] £7,957 Sainsbury [STRIKE]£6,870[/STRIKE] £5,575 M&S [STRIKE]£10,016[/STRIKE] £9,690 Barclaycard [STRIKE]£11,951[/STRIKE] £11,628 CTC [STRIKE]£7,629[/STRIKE] £6,789 Mortgage £[STRIKE]182,828[/STRIKE] £171,670

Good grief where is the time going? Well just nipped in for a quick update as off to a meeting in a minute.
I've sold four items on eBay this week. Only for 99p each but the postage is covered and I would only have given them away otherwise, so it all helps. Desperately need to get more stuff listed as firstly I need the money and secondly I need to get rid of it. Haven't heard back from the ebayer who was moaning that her item didn't work properly but was refusing to return it. No PayPal case opened either so I think she was obviously just trying it on.
Have a team meeting tomorrow and have a really long drive there and back. I've managed to persuade one of the mums from school to let me drop the boys to her at 7 in the morning and she is taking them home after school too. At least that's sorted.
My new boss said he thinks he has sorted out the float situation so I should be getting the extra money soon. That will definitely help as I won't be carrying the company each month.
Not much happening on the debt clearing front at the moment.Cant wait for payday next week so I can get some more stuff sorted. They had better remember my bonus this time!

What a weekend! The boys did nothing but fight and argue for two days, except for the time I spent taking DS1 to his ballet exam and a couple of hours at the start of Sunday. I ended up putting them both to bed early with a long talk about being nice to each other. Well that didn't work. By 7am this morning they were at it again. Then again this evening. I feel absolutely drained with it to be honest
On top of that my mum, from here on known as Negative Nancy, has been her usual positive self. All started when I got the dates for DS1s rehearsals for Joseph. One of which is an all day rehearsal the 7th July. I'm supposed to be going to the O2 to see Michael Buble with some friends. Been planning it all year. I wouldn't ask my mum to pick him up as I know it would be a waste of time. Mum and Dad were going to have the boys for a couple of hours in the evening before one of my other friends took over due to the time I'd be home. Ex was originally supposed to be having them but that isn't happening now, that's another storyAnyway I made the mistake of verbalising my dilemma in front of NN on Saturday but said I might offer to take one of the other parents children in the morning and see if she could pick DS1 up in the afternoon and drop him at my mums. The auditions are over an hour away so would be helpful to share the two runs. Sunday morning NN had obviously been pondering this and said how she thought that the parent in question might prefer to take her daughters, why would she want me to and why would she pick DS1 up? I said I had already contacted her and she was fine with it, so she decided to suggest that my other friend might let me down in the evening and what if she didn't turn up to babysit, parents couldn't stay with boys as they are going on holiday the next day etc etc! Why she thinks my friend might let me down is beyond me. I feel completely worn out with everything at the minute
Then the ex................ well he has managed to get himself a job after 3 years. Good news. It's in retail though so he has told me he will now be working every Sunday so will only be able to have the boys every other Saturday and can only have them overnight if I go and collect them by 8am on Sunday morning:eek: Considering he lives about an hours round trip away I'm thinking this is impractical and a bit unfair on my time as well as my fuel cost. However, if I don't it means I have to pay for a childminder on a Saturday night if I want to do any extra work or, god forbid, if I ever wanted to go out! Wouldn't go out and have a drink either as i would be worried about driving at that time of the day. On top of this DS1, who is pretty switched on said to me tonight that this means at the most he will only see his dad for 25 days a year and he is understandably upset about it. Probably part of the reason he is playing me up at the minute
On a positive note, I renewed my home and contents insurance today. Not that that in itself is a good thing, did cross my mind not to do it for a while but knowing my luck my house would burn down on my first uninsured day. Anyway renewal came in at £346 and I've managed to get it for £248, same company, same terms
Also had an email from HR at work to say that my additional float will be paid in this week! Plus last night I went through the freezer and sorted it out and made a list of what is in there as going to try and use that stuff for the next few weeks. Oh and wrote a list of the uniform the boys need for next year as DS1 moves to prep school and DS2 to reception. I have a list of what I need before September. One of DS1s classmates is moving back to Jordan, he's bigger than DS1 and I noticed his blazer and school coat are in good condition, might ask his mum if she had thought about selling his uniform as he won't need it
Still have a load of stuff to eBay and a list of things, in my head, that need to be done. I sense a written list again soon as I seem to get more done then!
