  • Oh yes, the other part of the system is that they charge for all the extras in arrears, 3 times a year so you get an invoice detailing all the extras that will be added to the monthly dd. eg:, day trips, lunches, DT models, fees insurance etc. This tends to be Oct, Feb and May payments.

Why, oh why does this happen? My employers are really not doing anything to help me financially! The bonus that I earned in quarter one of this year (Jan to Mar) is generally payable at the end of May, it used to be end of April but they've pushed it back recently. The cynical side of me would say to gain some interest on what over the whole company would be a significant payout. Well they've just told us we will get paid the bonus in June not May

I am really annoyed and now worrying about what I am going to do. I was going to use that money to pay a decent amount off the school fees and now I can't. I feel gutted :(

On top of that my expenses have been paid late and I'm driving around on fumes until they are paid!

I seem to spend every waking minute worrying about money and how I'm going to get on top of all this. I live from one month to the next, desperate for the next pay day to start again. Does anyone else do this? It's beginning to take over my life now:(

I'm trying to get as much ebayed as I can but it feels like its just a drop in the ocean. Need a miracle :o

Am I reading your signature correctly, that you've paid off £3K since December? That's brilliant going.

I know it feels hard, but you really are making great progress.

Yes LannieDuck, the signature is right. Plus not far off £5k from the mortgage too! I suppose I should start looking at what I've done more rather than what I still need to do!

On the plus side I've just spoken to a friend who used to babysit for me during the week evenings. She was ill last summer so I was stuck a bit. She's better now and has said she will babysit for me one or two nights a week again so that will free up some time once the boys are in bed for me to go and do some extra work! I know I'm working full time already but if the only way to do this is work a few extra hours on top of that then so be it! I'd only be sat on my backside watching telly or doing online surveys :o

So hopefully, starting next week, I'll get in an evening or two a week. I will make sure the boys are in bed so it won't impact on our time together, which is really precious to me.

I'm going to work Friday night and probably Saturday this week too so fingers crossed. So, so want to do this! More ebaying tonight once the boys are in bed I think. I've got just over 40 items on at the minute. I'm going to Musicmagpie the CDs I think as I've tried them a couple of times each on eBay and they haven't all gone!

Right last bit of work before I pick the boys up for football practice.

You must be really busy. I know how long ebaying takes. To hold down a fulltime job, plus raise your kids (by yourself?), keep up with ebaying and working overtime.... you really are doing brilliantly well.

£8k paid off since December... that's about £1600/mth!

Thanks again LannieDuck. Yes I'm all by myself. Have been since three weeks before DS2 was born. It's lucky I don't need much sleep as I usually don't get to bed much before midnight and I'm up again by 6am!

I hadn't thought of it in terms of how much I'd paid off monthly! That does sound a bit better :o

Woohoo :j Just had to post this as although payment hasn't been made yet I'm a little bit chuffed!

Two of my eBay items ended this evening. They were half used bottles of perfume. One has sold for £10.60 and the other one has sold for £46.00 :D To think I was just going to throw them away!

A few bids on my other items, although I don't have anymore perfumes :( Plenty of watchers too though.

Whoo! That's reminded me - I've got a bottle of unopened aftershave that my OH said I could ebay... must get on with it.

This one has no box and I took the photo so they could clearly see just over a third of it is gone. The cheaper one was similar, no box and about half of it gone! I'd sold a couple of others in a similar state too. Always totally honest in my description. I'm definitely happy with those, just wish I had more!

Going to double check all my drawers just in case though as I often used to put perfume bottles in them. :o

I'm de-lurking to say thanks for the heads up on this. I thought you could only list new perfume and not used, so I've got loads for a bootsale! I will try my luck on eBay first :)
