grocery shop done today.............£100!!!!!!!!!!:eek: only got prawns and a bun tin as extra so not sure what happened. Didn't go off the shopping list either?!?! Going to start going around with the calculator again.
Baking done for today: jam tarts, maids of honour and thanks to penny I did choc chip rock buns!! Yummy! Should hopefully keep the boys going for treats in their boxes. Got bangers and mash cooking for tea tonight and the beef and onions slow cooking ready for the veg to be added for tomorrow's stew! Makes the house smell lovely!
Weather has turned very icy up here. Heating has come on twice today, but it's on a thermostat so turns itself off when the house is at the right temp.
Not much else to report.

Been meaning to post and say I'm following your diary.
The amount of baking you do is amazing and it's the kick up the bum I need to get on with some too. Biscuits and fairy cakes top of the to do list (they're easy, right?)
After reading about your kids going to bed snuggled up with hot water teddies, I wonder if my DS is the only child wandering around with nothing but his boxers on saying he's warm enough . I've found an old thermal top from my declutter so have that on under my jumper today. Our thermostat is set at 19C when I put the heating on.Back on the DFW Wagon:

I went to a!di but topped up in mr m's for cat food, Jazz apples (my fav and one of a handful of varieties that don't give me indigestion) and deodorant. Still trying to work it out?! Was shocked when the till said £68 in a!di.
Oh, £6 was for batteries, gonna buy some each week leading up to Xmas.
Must get the hubby to find the till receipt so I can have a look!

Thank you! I come bearing gifts - 9 chocolate fairy cakes :j I went and made them as soon as I'd posted... a lightbulb moment of 'what am I waiting for?'
It would have been 12...we seem to have tucked into them a bit quickly :rotfl: DS has tested and approved - one added to his lunchbox.Back on the DFW Wagon:

I AM UNDER £21K!!!!!!!
:D:D:D:D:D:D
Not much else to report, sadly. Have done an appr0ved f00d order for lunch box bits, hopefully pay the rest of this months payments to debts this week and start on the Xmas shopping.
Food shopping this week was just a little over budget, £5 over. no where near the money spent last week thank goodness. Hopefully the order should bring the weekly total down a bit. Have noticed the amount is higher with buying meat to cook from scratch rather than processed stuff. Seems a bit backwards to me?!?!
How is everyone else??

That's all I have to say
Well not quite...you're right processed food can be cheaper - guilty as charged here - but am buying more 'from scratch products' and making them last. Bulking out and batch are the new buzz-words in this house...who needs amazeballs ?! :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Have been looking through my old diaries.................on them all I wished to be debt free by 2012! How wrong that turned out to be.
Think the lowest amount of debt I got to was around the £18k mark, but was living with a £4k overdraft so not doing too well really.
Makes me realise how far we have come this year. Just hope it continues.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
