I read somewhere that if you are going on a diet or starting something new it should never be a Monday - people who started on a Tuesday or Wednesday stuck with it longer
I started on a Wednesday to psyche myself up & the WI on that day also gives me time to recover from the weekend:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Well dome Macpep, and Dundeedoll for just half a pound, I'd be well pleased with that!
Frogga - you can do it. Just take it one day at a time, stay away from the scales and try not to panic over it.
I can feel it's going to be one of those difficult weeks where I want to eat loads of sweet stuff in the evenings. Need to hang in there and not give in as want to break the cycle of 3 weeks loss, 1 weeks gain. OH is going away again so going to use the time to batch cook some stuff to freeze, do the shred a few times and some wii fit, and generally have some me time. Just need to keep busy and avoid boredom nibbling...
EE today:
B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
L: HM bacon, lentil and veg soup, apple, plum
T: Chilli and rice
S: Berries and yogurt, Freddo (5)

The baguette will be a tough thing to turn down....
You can get most things for SW in France. They still eat fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meat (if anything their meat is leaner than most of what you can get in the UK), try veal while you're there that is really lean and absolutely delicious. You can buy individual Danone natural yoghurts with are to die for but not sure whether they will be FREE, but much nicer than anything you can get here. Haven't seen Mullerlights but I prefer natural yoghurt anyway.
I agree with you that baguettes are the worst thing to have to turn down so I don't! I just make sure I don't eat a whole one :rotfl:. You can buy wholemeal baguettes, just ask for "pain complet" in the bakers. Don't think I've ever seen it in the SM.
I was over there for a month at the beginning of the year and only put on 4lb which I don't think is too bad for a month's holiday. I suspect that most of my syns came from the wine rather than the bread.
HTH.

Hello Chelseablue ,
Of course you are welcome to join us - I only had around a stone to lose when I started and have reached that target with the help of all the lovely people on this thread (I don't go to a SW group).
Even with a relatively small amount to lose it can still get tough so please feel free to ask away if you have any questions.0 -
