Anybody else noticed how much quicker it is to get ready for a night out when you've lost weight?

In my fatter days I used to empty just about the entire wardrobe onto my bed and start squeezing into various tops and bottoms to see which looked best. It took an age to try them all on and as long again to put them all back. I have been known to have made my decision and get as far as back door and change my mind again because I didn't feel right. :rotfl:

We went to a party last night and I went upstairs chose a lacy tunic and some fitted trousers ..... job done!:j

After all the talk of calories this week i've worked out how many calories I will consume today it's a whopping 1897:eek:

The only syns are 247 for a chunky kitkat, the rest is ''free'' food & HEA&Bs as i'm on a red day.

    What an eye opener.

Told you. Now for some that's not a problem but if you are having problems losing this could be the answer.

However according to MFP my daily allowance is 1880 and I get more if I'm exercising depending on the number of calories being burned (if I want them).

Obviously it depends on how much you have to lose but I have stones and stones so have a bigger amount of calories but it will drop as my weight drops and that's the way they train you to reduce your appetite which is something that SW doesn't focus on at all and that's why people like me and Frogga struggle because we're still eating large quantities when we should be reducing (in my opinion!).

I totally agree with you about reducing intake as you get lighter.

I'm still going to follow SW principles but keep on eye on overall calorie intake too.

I'm often confused by fat free yogurts, I think the mullets, activia & Irish diet yogurts are all flavoured, fat free & syn free & the supermarkets own lookalike mullers, but after that you have to be careful.

Interesting you say about tuna in jules pasta, because I thought when I was looking for the recipe that it was with tuna rather than sausages, is that another official Jamie version or your own tweak?

The one I do is out of one of Jamie Oliver's book but it probably is online as well. It uses tuna in a jar, very expensive so I use tinned line caught tuna in brine - the MSE version. I will look it up and post it on here, I never imagined warm tinned tuna would taste so nice but it is delicious and very filling. I always make enough to take to work the next day as well for lunch and it seems to taste even nicer the next day.

Maman are you sure that pic is of the right sauasges as (if the link works) these are the ones in group we are told to have.

There are also M&S sausages, butchers reduced fat ones that are the same price, same amount and same syn values, but nowhere nice as the Sainsburys ones.

I've got all his books (:o), the sausagemeat version is in 30 minute meals, I stopped looking then as I thought I had found it & been mistaken about the tuna.
