Well for the first time ever in my 50odd years I have managed to go for a meal out which was properly counted and controlled.

    For food yesterday I had,
B - fruit and muller light
Hex B - 2 Alpen bars during the day
L - sliced ham, tomatoes and pickled onions, pear and banana

Meal out - 1 poppadom (4) dips, estimated (8), chicken dhansak estimated(8), boiled rice, third of a naan (8) and a fancy ice cream estimated (20).
Drank lime and soda (another first for me !)
Then had a brandy and diet coke when I got home (4)

So out of the 90 syns I had left I reckon that I used about 50. Leaving me 40 to go, weigh in is on Monday morning so I reckon that as long as I keep to no more than 15 a day for the next 2 days that I should be OK.

Probably still wont lose any weight though !! But we shall see

  • Hiya gang :hello:

The fishcakes were yummy, but I fell off the wagon a bit last night :o

Left on my own, my resolve weakened by half a bottle of wine, I opened the Jack Daniels and had 2 LARGE ones :o

    Today looks like this:

    B. Muller light vanilla yog
    S. Orange
    L. muller light vanilla yog poured over [STRIKE]Life's not[/STRIKE] a bowl of cherries
    D. SW KFC style chicken (contains Hex B for breadcrumb coating). SW Onion bhajis 1 syn each. Side salad.
Small bottle lager 7.5 syns. Glass red wine 8 syns.

And I hope I can stop the alcohol content there.

Today I'm going to make some of the burgers from the magazine and also planning some chilli for the freezer. Have seen a good Hairy Bikers recipe which could easily be adapted to be syn free.

Have been looking at the black forest pots recipe in this months mag. In sainsburys i have been unable to get any cherries in juice as they have been discontinued only available in syrup. So have picked up some frozen ones - to defrost so would this alter the syn value? Looking online tinned cherries in juice come up as 10 syns so my thinking is i would be saving 2.5syns per person is this correct?

  • Good afternoon, hope everyone is well. :A

I'm feeling really low today (not diet related) & thinking about it i've been really up/down of late so i'm wondering whether I need to go back on my meds (anti d's). Trouble is I really need to lose this weight & taking meds effects your metabolism (so i've been told).

Does anyone else take any meds & do you find that they effect your weight loss?

I hate feeling the way I do but know i'd feel even worse if taking my meds meant I couldn't lose the weight & have my surgery. :o
