Mine's just arrived and for someone who is totally useless with both gadgets and hair, the results were pretty good for a first attempt. Much more body and bounce on a shortish bob. Really pleased with it.

Mine arrived yesterday and I LOVE it!!

Mine is thick frizzy shoulder length graduated bob, and for the first time EVER I did not need straighteners to leave the house! (Good job, my hair is not loving the straighteners!)

Guys can I ask a really silly question? Can you use it on dry hair? Or does your hair need to be wet or washed first? Hoping to try mine out today :)
  • Got mine yesterday and I love it as well!!!

I don't 'do' hair but this was great. Brilliant :D

will it still have effect if my hair is poker straight anyway? id like it if i gave me some cu n bounce
  • Just tried it. Not convinced by the results - it pulled all the curl out of my hair but didn't put any back so it ended up a weird frizzy straight kinda vibe. Maybe if I dry it from wet it'll be better. Will give it a go in the morning if I get time. I had thought from what I read that it would be ok for putting curl into the hair but it seems it's more of a straightener really unless you have v long hair (Kate Middleton esque) :(

I think that statement may be a bit much given you've only used it once. I don't have very long hair but I certainly get the flicky curl, the 'bouncy' look from it, it just takes a little while to get the knack of it and figure out what works for you, how wet your hair needs to be, how you need to angle it, how small a section to do at a time. Every head of hair is different, stick with it and I would hope that you have more joy with it :)
Despite the name, I'm actually a laydee!

You do need to practise with it, I put the brush in sideways (ie upright) then pull it down and out once it's dried it and you end up with the same curl the hairdresser gave me in the salon. You do need to put some product on afterwards to stop it from being too frizzy.

Thanks :) actually I was basing the judgement on the fact that I couldn't find any YouTube tutorials that ended up with bouncy curly mid length hair. The only curly ones I could find were for long hair. Mid length is mostly straight though sometimes as you say with a bit of a flick :) I haven't given up yet though! Thanks for the encouragement!
