Hi all, I have one of these and it's great. You do need to blow dry your hair until damp first otherwise I find it takes ages and makes my hair frizzy.
I do have a question though, do you use heat protection spray before using this or will it clog the brush with it in time?
Definitely worth buying. It makes a change from poker straight.

I've had mine for 18 months now and I absolutely love it. My hair is thick and wavy and this straightens it out without leaving it flat. Sometimes I use my GHDs after it - just a quick run through to straighten it a bit more. I couldn't live with out it now! The only negative is that because the bristles are quite soft they do splay out after a few months. This isn't a dealbreaker though. Highly recommended and a bargain at £24.99!

Hey :) Does anyone have the instyler? I've been toying between the instyler and babyliss big hair for about a year now! I can't afford both and can't decide which is best for me! If the instyler does the blow dry effect as well as it styles then I kinda think that one. It's £49 on qvc which is the cheapest I've ever seen it. http://www.qvcuk.com/Instyler-Zebra-3-in-1-Rotating-Styling-System-w--Thermal-Shiel.product.400110.html?refType=UPSELL-X-SELL&refNumber=400058&sc=400110-DTLR&cm_sp=UPSELL-_-INTELLIGENTOFFER-_-2&relType=INTELLIGENTOFFER&refLocation=2

Desperate to hear from someone who has used or can tell what the main differences are between the two? Thanks :)

The babyliss blows out hot air, to set your hair giving it plenty of volume and bounce. The instyler is heated much like a larger version of a curling tong. It depends what you want from it, which one you go for.

For more volumised hair and less heat damage go for the babyliss.

The instyler is more versatile (does curling as well as volume and straightening) but more damaging to the hair. I would ALWAYS use heat protection spray with this one, less so with the babyliss (depends on hair condition to start with obviously).

Mine just arrived today. Had norovirus yesterday and feeling a bit shaky and pathetic, but decided nothing was stopping me having a go of my new toy! Couldn't be bothered with the instructions so I just went for it, and my hair already looks better than I usually manage! I have an ear length bob and it has just given it so much volume at the roots, it looks great! Just need to buy some sectioning clips and it will look even better - as you can tell, I just dived in unprepared! Great buy, very pleased :)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've used it twice following the instructions and my hair looks bigger but frizzy - even though if I blow dry it the normal way it looks straight.

Someone even told me I looked windswept the other day after I used it!!
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

Mine's just arrived and for someone who is totally useless with both gadgets and hair, the results were pretty good for a first attempt. Much more body and bounce on a shortish bob. Really pleased with it.

boltonangel - look on youtube for guidance videos, or else when you put the brush in your hair pull it through a few times, then curl it right up and hold it for three seconds. I always put a pump of Morrocanoil through afterwards, it can look frizzy I agree. It might need doing a few times. Look up the videos then practise, mine is finally looking like a proper blow dry!! It does need some oil on the hair afterwards though.
