Out-about 40 Lego kits a volunteer took (I run a charity from my bedroom), some general rubbish, a bag and some drugs. I feel so guilty throwing so many tablets away (I had many months supply and then became allergic to them), I tried to find a charity but they only wanted some and I need to get them out. I have tons of boxes of paracetamol too. I don't want to keep them all to space but seems a shame to bin, I don't want to freecycle them incase someone Ods!
I think you are encouraged to take back unused prescriptions to pharmacists for them to dispose of safely? I'm sure I have a couple of packets of things I've never taken because I read all the side effects and thought no chance that I should return to them! Depends how easy it is for you to get your local chemist?0 -
Have made no progress with the decluttering of toys however I have done a pre-decluttering declutter of the living room!!!!! one bin bag of rubbish and a bag of recycling to go out for the bin men and I can now start on the drawers/cupboard/shoes or dvds.
Wednesday will be my big day for toy sorting and other things in my bedroom. I'm hoping that by the end of the day one side of my bedroom will be looking lovely.
Once that side of my bedroom is cleared I will be able to put the christmas tree box back in the loft.
Think I need to use a notebook to write down things I will get rid of as I'm sitting in bed looking round and can think of loads of things that need to go - will then need to stick to the list.StartingToGetOutofDebt

I belong to the Preparedness for when the SHTF forum https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4065593, and it stands for 'conspiracy researchers and preppers really oldstyle loonies living zombie challenge'
It's a forum about prepping for disasters and the end of the world, although for most people it is about being prepared for winter, getting caught out in snowstorms, redundancy, etc. and not the zombie invasion. A lot of it has been tongue-in-cheek, but it's good fun. I make lists for everything, that's why I've got that particular tag.

Well DD's room is 3/4 done - am hoping to finish (if 3 year old allows) tomorrow when she is back at school
Have untold rubbish, recycling, hand-me-downs for niece/nephew and stuff to freecycle and things to return that DD has borrowed
Most importantly I need to recycle myself to GP tomorrow asap
nearly 2 out of 8 rooms done ...0 -

You can take unused drugs back to pharmacies and they either redistribute them if they can or dispose of them safely (without flushing them/chucking them in the bin as it can harm wildlife). Better then having them sat in the cupboard!

Just popping in to say really impressive decluttering everyone :j
Had a quiet weekend so I've not decluttered. But I have:
- ordered some plastic wallets to sort our bills/paperwork
- ordered some more clear plastic shoeboxes. I bought the first batch a couple of months ago so I need to finish the project of organising my shoes
:j

Busy decluttering day here! Three bags filled for the CS collection on Tuesday - more to find tomorrow - 10 items listed on EBay - 6 huge packets of A1 card (which I won't ever use all of) ready to take to the school art department tomorrow - enlisted the kids into emptying various toy boxes and deciding what to put in the charity bag - all old catalogues into the recycling box - and tackled the ironing during "Dancing on Ice" after a lovely chippy tea! x0
