Decluttering 2013, the saga continues ...

Before work today I had a sort out in the spare room, which looked like a bomb had hit it again! I re-sealed the 3 vacuum storage bags that were on the bed, and vac'd the air out of them before putting them back neatly into the airing cupboard. Then I put a couple of piles of stuff back into the ebay boxes, binned one of the toys I got out of the shed to ebay, as the battery terminals were rusty so it didn't work, and put some bits of paper and cardboard in recycling. Still plenty to do in there, but I will carry on tomorrow or Wednesday.
I forgot to say in my last post, one of the other things that went to the dump was my old food processor, that I found in a carrier bag in the shed. I didn't know it was in there, and I certainly don't know why I kept it, as I've had my current one for at least 10 years and the old one was only replaced because it didn't work!? I have to admit that I only got rid of some of the accessories for the old one a few months back, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

It's quiet on this thread today, hopefully you are busy decluttering.
During this week I have managed to put all my toiletries that are currently not being used in to a nice looking toiletry bag which means that shelf is now looking so much better. Previously it filled up the whole shelf and now 2/3 of the shelf is empty. I have also recycled some empty bottles that I had kept in case I wanted to re-fill them again. I am also making a conscius effort to use nearly empty products and another 3 bottles have been recycled that way this week.
The plan for today is to recycle 5 empty cardboard boxes that are currently cluttering up the hallway and also to clean the bathroom. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

I'm still in for more decluttering although haven't been on the board in ages! Still much more that can be done but we are planning big redecoration of the whole house so a lot more will go this year.
I posted 7 parcels today of clothes that I bought without trying on, I hate trying clothes on! I usually make back my money as I buy second hand so not a problem really.
I have also managed to get my mum to part with 4 bin bags of linen that has been being saved because it might be useful one day but hasn't been useful in 10 years plus! That was big big progress!
My 500+ stash of beauty samples has been narrowed down to just around 100 as the girls at work had a good rummage and took loads! Using up my perfume samples too!
I will be clutter free by 2014 (when I plan to move out)!!
UPDATE: 3:55pm I have now decluttered my shed and 3 gardening bags of decluttered trees and loads of other rubbish is now at the tipNow to contact the scrap man to get him to come get the old bikes. I have now found someone who might buy them from me to do up to resell

I achieved much more yesterday than I had planned which is great. Yesterday we received a call from a friend asking if we wanted their old fridge/freezer which is much larger than our current one. We said yes so one fridge will go to the tip next weekend. While the friends were over we sat in the garden and had a drink when the wife who enjoys gardening noticed our messy garden full of weed. An hour later we had both filled the garden bin up.
The cardboards in the hallway are now in the recycling bin which is now full as well and will be emptied tomorrow.
Great result for us this weekend and feeling so excited to suddenly have so much more fridge space. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Made a start on decluttering the 4 medium/large boxes I use to keep the items I sell on amazon (cds/books/dvds/vhs tapes) yesterday. Anything that hasn't been sold when it first got listed (mainly over the past 3 years or so), are now going to get deleted from Amazon & put to the charity shop. Now got it down to 2 boxes. But some things still getting checked if it's staying listed on Amazon or going to CS.
But now have a pile of things that will need to go to CS. Which will be at some point over the next couple of weeks or so0 -
Finally sorted out my purse today, loads of receipts shredded.
Also, cleaned the bathroom. One bottle of body oil also used up.
