Think I'm just about ready for the viewing tomorrow. I'll be at work but still want the place to look halfway decent.
Hoovered the living room and stairs. Steam cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors.
Not so much decluttered as moved things to a less conspicuous place.
I've finished a bottle of bubble bath so that's one less thing in the bathroom. Still no sign of the never ending shampoo running out.
Got tonights tea dishes to do and salad to prepare for work tomorrow, then I do believe it's bedtime.
    Starting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250
    Overpayments to date £410
    Current mortgage balance £70,650

    Good morning all declutterers
I did not post yesterday, I was feeling a bit sorry for myself :(
I went to the dentist and 2 injections and 45 minutes later ...felt rotten. Dentist was replacing some old back teeth fillings due to age.

On my way to the dentist though :) I dropped off a large bag at the PDSA cs. This was unwanted curtains and more mugs. A travel plug set.

Wile I was in the cs I wanted to buy some small hand made patchwork quilts I saw.£5.50 each. My strong willed head took over though and I just admired and put back. They looked so nice.
Head gave the lecture of how I am decluttering and not buying more stuff. I am doing my own little bits of patchwork using old clothes.

Oh has been out in the garden over several days. He has now took 3 small car loads of cut down bamboo. Wood that we cannot put on the fire (painted) from our kind neighbours, and a few broken plastic flower pots.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
  • Hello All

I have been rubbish lately and made only moderate progress on the several de-cluttering challenges I have on the go, so I am hoping to be snowed in for at least 3 days so that I have no choice :).

This would also help my NSD performance.

    Hope everyone is keeping warm.

I have (rather optimistically) put little Easter Egg ornaments all over the little pine tree near my front door to look seasonal. Not quite sure the forecast snow will help with that one.

    Nighty Night

    Keep Smiling :)

    Hi all

I have been working on my office for a few weeks now; decluttering, sorting and filing loads of paperwork. My old boss came up to meet me for lunch on Wednesday and commented on how tidy it was looking. :j I felt so proud as he always used to tease me about how untidy it was and say I could never find anything. For about five years I have been working from a laptop rather than a desktop and I have started to get pains in my neck and shoulders. The ICT team have supplied a screen and keyboard which has helped - a month ago there was no room for it on my desk so that is real progress!

The house needs more work but I have the whole weekend off this weekend so I intend to do some more then. I know that it didn't get this cluttered in a few weeks and won't get decluttered in a few weeks but there are times when I feel as though I haven't made any progress at all. I did put something away under the stairs the other day and realised that it was still tidy and uncluttered so I felt quite pleased then.

Right, better get ready for work!

decluttered a little childrens pottery tea set yesterday, given to some children who i thought would like it.

today ive culled and condensed felt pens and pencils, i had 3 large baskets full under the computer desk, loads that didnt work have been binned a carrier bag full have been sorted labelled and are going to the CS so there is 1 basket going back under the table that isnt full to bursting. its still too many but its a far more managable amount so much easier to find what youre looking for.
4 jigsaw puzzles are also on the CS pile

noticed last time i was down Ts they now give you 100 green points for recycling certain printer cartridges. recycled 2 last week and have just found another under the desk while putting the pen basket away.

you get envelopes from customer services but if you look on the site from the addy on the envelope they give you you can get cash back for some of them which works out better if you can be bothered to open an account
fraid im too lazy so ive gone for the points
    HTH

    so empty ink cartridge decluttered

need to find out who recycles old phones now as there are at least three in the drawers of this desk
