  • Have made the very hard decision to separate from my Husband :(

so emotions are :o:mad::(:rotfl::eek::mad::cry: at the moment....

As you can imagine decluttering isn't going so well & the only thing gone out so far today is DS1 & DS2 as my sister kindly picked them up for a day of fun and laughter while I recouperate as I've had quincy on top of 8 weeks worth of virus :(

Still the upside will eventually be an awful lot of space when Mr G moves on

Apologies for negative post, hope everyone else is having a productive day?

  • Mrsgibbs I'm sorry your going through such a difficult time.

Decluttering has been very productive here, started by sorting my mums wardrobe. She has the least clutter of any of us so it was amazing to see so much stuff ready for the charity shop, recycling and bedding for a family friend. I'm loosing my wrapping paper draw (I love ribbon, paper, cello, gift bags etc) so making an easy start there, getting rid of tatty ones and sending a cat 'Santa paws' gift wrap set to the charity shop

  • afternoon all.

Haven't posted for a couple of weeks as have not done any decluttering. :( I also somehow totally missed the ebay free listing last weekend so was gutted about that. luckily I don't have that much in the ebay box at the mo but still.

I can't tackle the loft as it is too cold so I have been doing !!!!!! all. I do have a half filled cs bag so I might see if I can fill it and take to CS this weekend. I might just dump the summer clothes through the hatch and sort them inside the flat as if I wait for warmer weather I could be waiting a long time! they can also help fill the CS bag and I can declutter the sky pus box at the same time. I still have 12 episodes of Crime Stories to watch.

I just remembered the carpets are being cleaned next Saturday as well. :j

Evict the junk to make room for the good stuff.

A little has gone out to day. Glass jar, junk mail and a few bits and bobs.
More a reorganizing day and putting items in there correct places.
The conservatory is looking tons better. Still storing things - collage books need to keep, plants that are half hardy. The plants are geraniums. We saved from last year.
Garden items down the potting shed.

I said today we need to make our house visitor friendly. We are improving, a little every day.

Well done every one who decluttered today. We will soon be proud of out homes.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Mrs Gibbs so sorry to hear about your really hard decision, it's never easy I'm sure but you have to do what you know deep down to be the right thing. (((Big hugs))).

    As for decluttering:

    1. big plastic bottle - can't be recycled, in bin
    2. 10 pens that don't work - why did DH want these I don't know - in bin
    3. 2 empty plastic bottles - bin
    4. cardboard box - recycling
    5. plastic egg tray - bin
    6. flannels old and worn out - material recycling

MrsGibbs - so sorry to hear that you and your OH have split - like others have said, I'm sure you've thought long and hard about this decision and it must have been a painful one to make HSblinkhugs.gif for you and 'be kind to yourself'.

flyingmamma - HSbestwishes1.gif to you and your family for the next few days. Looking forward to hearing all about it when you return. Take Care :).

Rear bedroom has now got the double-bed installed in place complete with bedside cabinets and lamps plugged in to a multi-point socket located behind the headboard :j. Bookcases have been relocated where I want them - and this time I'm quite satisfied with where they've been placed :o.

Space has been left in front bedroom for the new bed when it arrives on Friday. I've put the new headboard against the wall, so I know that the cabinets in there allow for enough space for the width of it :j.

Will pop back in again a bit later - Lilyplonk xx
