We had a decent computer desk - charity shop was coming for it tomorrow. :)
Mr F insisted on carrying it downstairs on his own - against my wishes. :mad:He feel headlong down stairs landing on top of the computer desk which smashed into bits. Mr F hit his head on the sideboard in the hall where he landed so dripped blood and has a nasty gash on his head. :eek:His shoulder has a lovely bruise - if only he had listened to me! :( I had just hoovered all the stairs and hall - had to redo it to clear up the mess.

I've not had time to do much over the past few days, but today I took all my dad's washing back to him, this filled 4 large carrier bags so quite a lot out of the way. I moved some clean bedding from the spare bed to the airing cupboard, and connected the digi box (that we brought back from MIL's late partner's house), to the tv in the spare room so my dad can watch tv in there when he stays. I've only used a very old set top aerial for it, so I was surprised at how good the picture is.

I hope Mr F is ok my dh is like that insists that he can do it by himself.

we went up in the loft Sunday and sorted out boxes of cards that had been sent to us over the years. they were starting to feel damp so they have all gone in rc bin so thats freed up two storage boxes.
also a bag with odd bits of material to small for anything so they have gone
found some more things to sell, dd riding kit which she has outgrown
among other things so need to get going with those.

Cleared out dd bedroom loads of bits of paper and mags and old packaging etc for rc, old clothes for cs , toys that she feels to old for have gone in loft for now just in case. but the room looks lovely now.

will continue small bit at a time and i will get there.
You can if you think you can .
  • Motivation to declutter/get stuff done seems to have reduced somewhat. I have this week off work as kids on half-term and I am well and truly in holiday mode. All I've achieved so far is a cup of tea and making the beds. Everyone still in their pyjamas in our house .

However, it's beginning to bother me that no progress being made, so going to sign off and shift myself. First job, everyone washed and dressed and breakfast. Wish me much motivation everyone, hope you all have a good day :).

    Keep Smiling :)

Good morning all :hello: - more of the 'white stuff' coming down this morning - quite thick at the moment, but only really settling on any grassy bits just now. Don't think the pavements will get covered as they're too wet - fingers crossed that it stays this way. I hate it when walkways get icy/slippy - not a very 'steady person' at the best of times :(.

Keep up the good work everybody - at least moving around decluttering is a good way of trying to keep warm in this weather :D.

OH has nipped out at the moment with strict instructions 'to get his a$$ back asap' as there's bedroom furniture that's in need of his muscle power to be shifted ....................... I want that back bedroom sorted properly by this evening

Still waiting for the unwanted single bed to be collected - getting worried that I've got a 'no-show-er' on my hands here. It may need to be shunted into the 'now empty' outdoor lock-up if it's not gone by Friday morning ...................

I'm off now to make a start on emptying the bookshelves so he's got no excuses when he gets back in!

Be back later to check in again - take care and keep warm - Lilyplonk xx
