P333 is Project 333, I've not done it, but the idea is to choose 33 items of clothing (including accessories) and they become your capsule wardrobe for 3 months.

I might do this for my 'work' wardrobe (not started the job yet, just getting myself organised!).

Just some paper to the recycling to report - but the bins have been emptied, today so lots of room for anything else that needs to go!

I have DS1 at home this week, so not so much time to declutter, but I think I need to give my clothes some attention and work out 'outfits' for work, so P333 will be ideal.
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

I bought some shoes from John Lewis recently and had them delivered. They arrived in a really thick plastic bag, I thought that I could find a use for, so I kept it! Anyway while tidying this morning rather than finding a wee space for the bag decided to just get rid of it. Also, managed to throw away some jiffy padded bags which I've been keeping again just in case!

I don't consider myself a hoarder but I hate waste.

The secret to success is making small, yet constant changes.

Today so far - chest of drawers, old single quilt to the dump and some paper shredded.

Blessing to a new home -
toaster, we do not need 2
blender, we do not need 2
coffee machine, 2nd one given away this year.
    Children's games
x3 bags of books, just hording them.

even gave away my toasted sandwich, made another one.

and so it continues...we have lived here along time and keep collecting and de cluttering....
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Hi there, I keep seeing mention of P333 but can't find anything when I do a search. Could someone direct me to this or explain what it is?

    thanks

Project333 ... Google it for loads of advice and info. I started a few weeks ago but as I'm using my maternity wardrobe it was easy as I only have 10,items that really fit! U choose 33 items of clothing for 3 mths and bag up/cs the rest. It's a kind of capsule wardrobe. I hav applied it to my 2 toddlers wardrobes which were bursting!!! DH is inboard now too.... Workout pjs and undies excluded! I found clearing our wardrobes really therapeutic and has helped me find some hidden gems at the back of the wardrobe! Good luck!

  • Had a great day decluttering today, only to pick DS2 up from school tonight poorly with sickness.

    Anyway, today's progress....

    41. Cardboard boxes. Recycling.
    42. Bed throw. Tip
43-44. 2 x bags of clothes into the clothes bin.
44-50. 6 x bags of clothes to cash 4 clothes.
    51. Pair of DS2's shoes - sold on Fb.
52-55. 3 of DS2's teddies sold on Fb.
    56. Bag of surplus bed linen. Cash for clothes.

Really pleased with progress today & I can move at the bottom of my bed now :) Yay!
96 items decluttered so far in 2013 :)
  • Oh dear, been a bit lax these past few days. Have been out and about and doing other things. However, I have finally finished (ta da) my hubby's lap quilt... will try and get a picture up later. I machined the binding on it on Saturday, and have hand sewn the binding down, so that's one item decluttered from my stash cupboard and is now residing on the sofa! Sorted out another quilt top that I started (again, 4 years ago) and will try and work on that now.

Haven't found much to declutter as most of it has been gone through now and the house is 'visitor friendly'. Would just like some nice, dry, sunny warm weather now so that I can get out in the garden and tidy that up a bit.

Still got 3 areas I'd like to tackle properly (feel like I've just been playing at it up until now). 1 - My clothes. 2 - My craft stash. 3 - my weight.

So, will maybe concentrate on these 3 things for the rest of the month and hopefully make some progress.

Well done everyone for all your decluttering... we're all going great guns at it. Hope that you will all soon feel like you're getting somewhere and see positive results, just like I have over the past 9 months.

another large bag to the CS today along with a board game that I bought from the CS for a family gathering but never got played and never will.

Of my 35 ebay listings, 12 have watchers (1 has 17 watchers already!) and 3 have bids :). Fingers crossed for a good few sales by the end of the week!

Keep up the good work everyone, I don't have much left to declutter really now but I will keep reading the thread so I don't lose track and stay motivated :A. I need to sell the pile of stuff I've set aside for ebay/facebook and ensure that I keep on top of the house by not bringing clutter back in!!
