Decluttering 2013, the saga continues ...

Gone through my boys' socks drawers and got rid of everything that is too small, or that has stubbornly refused to reunite with its missing partner (obviously I will find these stray socks the day after the bins are collected, it's inevitable!). I do not know where their socks disappear to!

It's been an awful week with illness etc in our household so I'm ashamed to say there's been minimal decluttering
I've had a terrible cold which has knocked me about, so have spent most of the weekend lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself!

I have managed the following though :

31. Fleecy sleepsuit, sold on FB. Collected.
32. Bag of plastics - recycling bin.
33. Worn socks - bin.
34. Various containers & bottles emptied in the bathroom - recycled.
35. 2 crib sheets & blankets to my sister for pending nephew
36. Sleepsuits to sister for pending nephew.
37. Chrome mug holder & matching mugs - Freegle

I'm determined to get back on track this week

Good Morning,
Well I joined yesterday and I am going to make a start.
Just off to have a bath, get dressed and attack my bedroom which had new wardrobes put in but I can't access them without dragging boxes and piles of stuff out of the way that were moved to declutter other areas in the house!!

Good luck Jazzy J. I tend to post lists of what I've decluttered as it help motivate me. It's up to you which way you do it, have fun!

Last night, decluttered my Christmas file. Made an up to date Christmas card list from all the scraps of paper/post its that I'd shoved in there, cleared out all the receipts, etc. from Christmas just gone, printed off new list templates for next year. Just got to do gift inventory of stuff I bought in January sales so I know what's still needed, then all ready to go for Christmas 2013. Not sure that was really a priority in terms of decluttering, but a job done nevertheless :j.
Hope everyone is having a good day so far, a sprinkling of snow here, looks so pretty. Makes me think of Christmas :xmassmile.

Today, I am decluttering as I do the chores.

It is bin day, so empted the house bins upstairs. Will do downstairs later. We have to put the bins out at the end of the day. Bin men come about 6am tomorrow.

Washed dishes and put a food jar in recycle box from coffee.

Cleaned out coal fire place and reset with old newspaper and recycled wood.

Dancing with mini vac to dust and get dog hair from floor

Plan to empty a drawer of stuff later - on todo list.

Postie came, so I stood by the recycle bin and opened the letters...

4.30pm now, and I have been through the drawer. Thrown lots in recycle bin.
