  • Thanks for the encouragement last week when it felt rather hopeless. With your encouragement and my mums help (doing the physical parts) I got about a bin bag full of stuff out. One of the upstairs rooms is being redecorated and turns out our loft is 100% full, mums worried about the weight of it! Really wish I could crack on with it but will continue at a tortuous pace and hope it helps.
Our ins might make you smile, a proper Minnie and Mickey costumes like you find at Disney, my friends popped over and we ended up with a 6'5 Mickey, a Minnie and a big Peppa pig in the living room!

    Love it, just love it.
Plastic container in the plastics recycling collection - we pay for a company to collect 2/3 times a year. Babies's hat on radiator - just in case it was damp ( it wasn't dirty ) then headed for charity bag. Toy storage container also off to the charity shop. Cuddly toy - wet - so drying on radiator in garage before going in fabric recycling bag. Glass bottles washed and in cardboard box in garage - they get taken to glass recycling bin as not collected on doorstep here.

Hiya,In thought I would join this thread.
I have been de cluttering again. Thanks to fly lady's de clutter February.
It seems a very hard task. What with family saying do not throw out my stuff.

I am slowly going around the cupboards and my own drawers.
Gave a neighbour a pile of my old dvd's. I think you can only watch the same one's so many times.

Today I had a sort out of my button box. Had all my buttons on the floor. I sorted them into sets and thread those with 4 or more onto a wool bracelet. The rest went in the bin.
I was so pleased! I found a set for the adult cardigan I am knitting. Soon to be a loving gift, made with my fair hands.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Have well and truly taken advantage of free listing on ebay this weekend, 34 listings live at the moment totalling 44 items (some are buy it nows as I have multiples of the same items and have cost me 40p to list but can't have everythign for free can you eh? ;)) got 7 days to wait now though to see how much actually sells. A few items already have watchers so I'm hopeful I'll get rid of a fair few things.

Other than the live listings, I've had 1 buy it now item sell already so that will be posted tomorrow :j

Also put 2 items for sale on FB and they've both sold subject to collection :T

I only have 1 item listed on Ebay, and I didn't want to do that. DH refused to put it in the RC, he thought it might be of interest to someone else. As it is a specialist book, and written in Russian I'm highly doubtful it will sell. It took me nearly 2 hours to locate any information about it at all, and I finally ended up scanning a book catalogue, also in Russian, and using a Russian alphabet I got from a Russian Keyboard on my computer. It would have been so much better in the Recycling! As you may have deduced I don't speak Russian and neither does my hubby.
Anything else I unearth in a foreign language is going to CS, they can do what they want with it so long as it's out of here.
