Afternoon everyone.:)
The raring to go has roared off into the distance somewhere and has left me seriously lagging behind. I am exhausted tonight. It's a night for feet up and watching rubbish on the tv, falling asleep, waking up and then staggering off to bed where suddenly I am wide awake again
Work went well, I actually worked non-stop the whole day  Can you imagine???? How dare they expect me to actually do something :rotfl:
The Ebay parcels got posted and that is all I have done. I stuck to my pledge
Rising - the kids go back tomorrow round our way.
Steph - you will be astonished at the stuff that people buy if it is cheap enough
Have a great evening everyoneFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Hi fifty do you mind another follower, I always hoped to get my DFD by 50 but will be 51 in March, never quite made it but am still determined to get there will probably be more like 50 something :rotfl: Perhaps I should start a new diary. Youre doing amazing and am liking the ebay thing, cant do much from here with it though as the postage is a bit of a pain. Still I will try and get rid of some carp that is always lying around the place, I blame the kidsVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Hi Turfy
It's nice to see you here, the more followers the better
at least I know I'm not yapping away to myself.
Well, I have just been for a mosey about the boards which I have not done for a very long time and I think I am little bit in shock  Why do people have to be so judgemental? And in some case down right rude (IMO) Newbies come here looking for help and I mean practical help but all they seem to get is ...sell your car, cancel this, cancel that, you can live out x,y,z. Heavens, if it were that simple they wouldn't be here looking for help.
When I came here at first, I just wanted someone to be nice to me (and thank goodness they were) and say something to give me the hope that all was not lost (and they did) and to tell me I was not in it alone and not the barrage some people seem to get.
I might be missing the point, maybe it's about tough love, pointing out the blithering obvious but surely you can do that and be nice????????Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

Sometimes people end up frustrated ... there was someone earlier & their grocery spend was £500 / month (2 adults, 1 child) - when it was suggested it could be reduced to around £200, they said there was no way they could get under that ..... they weren't willing to get rid of S*ky @ £80 odd / month ..... entertainment was a couple of hundred etc etc etc
If it's pointed out by several people - nicely - that these are big figures and cuts could be made .... but people say "I won't get rid of S*ky" or "I like to go out every Fri & Sat night" etc ..... then I'm afraid I don't blame people for stronger wording - but there's never any excuse to be horrible about it!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Maybe it's just me then
There was someone posted up their SOA and got a hard time and when they explained reasons why they were just ignored and the same thing said again. I felt quite sorry for them
I know s*y is a contraversial (sp) expense but to be honest, I am single, with two kids and have no entertainment budget. My s*y is my entertainmentIf I didn't have my tv I'd go round the bend and my kids would be phoning childline
We don't have much else I'm afraid. So for me S*y is a necessary expense (it is on the smallest package) and so I understand when someone says they don't want to get rid of it.
I've probably just opened up a whole can of wormsFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

Snap! It's my entertainment budget too!
I gave it up - and absolutely hated not having it - while I was clearing my big debts .... and I do have it back now but like you the basic package
It's when people are £000s in debt (and sometimes their SOAs doesn't even balance, let alone allow for debt repayments) and they say that they can't downgrade from an a £80+ / month package... sorry but, yes you can!
Freesat / Freeview give a decent range of channels now (and weren't an option when I was clearing my big debts or I'd def have had one or the other) ... if I ended up being stuck again, I'd get rid of it .... I'd hate doing it but ....

I don't think there is EVER any excuse for rudeness. I have seen it as well. Just people being abit too blunt. Saying = Post an SOA.
End of story, not even an explanation as to what an SOA is.
I have posted quite a few times, just because I feel sorry for them after a rude post, with a nice bit of chatter and the SOA link, if you are not used to the site the SOA is quite tricky to find.
There is a happy medium with cutting costs, and sometimes I think people think they have had their LBM when they are not really there yet.
I think maybe some of the MSE old-timers have seen so many newbies come in, type a HELP post and then not really see it through. Think they get abit jaded. They should remember to sugar coat it abit though, otherwise I bet it just scares people off.
Hey ho. no can of worms here, just a nice chat :beer:0 -
Good Morning
Another day, another dollar.
Slept brilliantly well last night and have woken up ready to tackle another NSDNo unbudgeted money will leave my person today.
DD came out of the bank this morning as expected and I am now at £334 drOne week to pay day and nothing else expected to come out but money is expected in :T So my od will be less by the time pay day comes :T It is looking good for the moment but who knows what will happen. One day at a time.
Another thing has sold on ebay :T Not for very much but it's another little bit to add to all the other little bits. I need to put some more 99p things on there tonight to keep my numbers up
Clothes for cash didn't come and get the bag yesterday  so I will have to schedule another collection  Not that it matters very much but it does mean I have to wait a little bit longer before I can get that money into my bank account
Lunch is all prepared, chicken salad followed by fruit and jellythen the dreaded weigh in tonight. I think I have put on half a stone :eek: It so blinkin' easy to put on and a darn sight harder to get off again
Never mind, back in control again and it feels brilliant
Have a brilliant TuesdayFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
